Lasha has won everything already. Wished he started to train for strongman and gave it a serious attempt.

Василий Алексеев еще в 1976 году в Монреале 255 кг толкал. А Леонид Тараненко 266 кг толкал в 1988 году. Видимо, человек достиг своего предела в поднятии тяжестей, а иначе как объяснить, что за 50-40 лет практически нет увеличения результатов. Топчемся на месте. Есть еще небольшая надежда, что Лаша Талахадзе все таки возьмет в сумме 500 кг, но что-то травмы его в последнее время замучили. На износ работает третий олимпийский цикл богатырь, организм просто уже не выдерживает.

These guys are great but its so odd to me that they talk about how tired they are with 30 seconds of work. its not like they are doing reps or "work" for 10 min or even 1 min. Olympic lifting so interesting on the physiology

Unfortunately Talakhaze won’t reach his full potential because of those long legs.

WOW!!! There were some great lifts in that session. Martirosian was epic, I would have jumped out of my chair if he'd gotten that 255. Future of the superheavy division is looking great

I'm sure it has happened before but this is the first time I've seen Lasha miss a lift

It was good to see Martirosian get the silver in the cl&jk. He weighed only 130 kgs so he was close to double body weight as a super! Simon snatched exactly 80% what he jerked. Everybody else was above 80%,Davoudi slightly everyone else above 85%. When I competed in the late 70’s you were as likely to see someone around 75% as 80%. Anybody got any ideas why this is so?
