ОтветитьGlorious video! Thanks for sharing this awesome version of yours, your voice is truly amazing!
ОтветитьSplendid hearing this on a gourd banjo! You sing verses I never heard on the 78rpm phonograph pressing I know this song from by "Lazy Larry."
ОтветитьKyle, that's a real old one. I remember hearing that when I was a kid. Off of an oldie. 78. Was never able to get all the words. Thanks a bunch. By the way, a real good job.
ОтветитьBy the way, I'm 79. Oh, did I age myself later?
ОтветитьWhere ya from, Kyle? All these river videos make me think about fishing much as pickin a banjer.
ОтветитьOne big union! Better to be a bum than a slave!
Ответитьnice honest voice!
ОтветитьAs a person who's pop grew up in Australia during the depression this is a good song as it originated in Australia and my pop still sings this song to this day and I showed this to him and he. Was delighted
ОтветитьVery well sung dear.
ОтветитьI just listened to this like 5 times in a row lmao flows so good love it man
ОтветитьThank you Kyle. It is important to recall these historic folk songs and you do so very well.
ОтветитьAmazingly sung! Which instrument are you playing?
ОтветитьSolidarity forever!
ОтветитьAwesome!
ОтветитьMy Grandfather would bounce the babies on his knees and sing this song. His family sang this at his memorial. "Hallelujah I'm a bum" reminds me of the wonderful Grandfather that was a hard worker that loved his family.
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьThis is the best version if heard yet !!!
ОтветитьDa fk... He sings it just like it sounds in the original recording... I swear I could hear the "Pops and white noise" from the record lol Great performance, and I see Big Rock Candy Mountain is next... Thought I was the only one in the world with that on their playlist
ОтветитьLoved that banjo and the performance. My Dad’s favorite song to sing while doing chores (he worked 6 days a week up to 10 hrs a day as a delivery driver to keep us all housed & fed). So I learned the “how can I work” stanza as: “how can I work/like other folk do?/well how can I work/when the sky is so blue?” Made sense in San Diego CA. Thanks for the post & for the memories moments!
