Absolutely phenomenal, in all my years I have never seen such a nice, concise, well informed car video that is simply to understand and work with, great work 🙌🏾
Ответитьhow bout a guide for a carbureted car
ОтветитьWhat if your car is older and doesn't have an ECU?
ОтветитьAny advice on turbo charging a 3.2 vr6 😊
ОтветитьMy volvo v40 nearly weighs as much as a miata. never thought about it! Only about 100 - 200 kg more
ОтветитьI may sound stupid but can anyone help me with turbo-ing a v8 wanna do a single turbo. Do you have to connect both exhaust sides into the one hot side? Or no?
ОтветитьThinking about putting a turbo on my 2018 subaru legacy
ОтветитьI’m very inexperienced to mechanics but I love cars but I’m still confused as to where I can find an unused oil galley
ОтветитьThank you so much
Ответить1) turbo
2) waste gate
3) intercooler with pipes from turbo to throttle body
4) Turbo’s air intake
5) Turbo’s Exhaust manifold bolted to engine
6) down pipe connects turbo to exhaust system
7) oil lines to keep turbo lubricated (1 pressure regulated, 1 dumps back into sump)
8) coolant lines (1 in 1 out)
9) blow off valve
10) adjust fueling (injectors, rails, pump) , more air from Turbo means need more fuel
11) boost gauge at intake using vacuum line
12) AFR Gauge & wideban O2 sensor in exhaust pipe
13) Tune ECU professionally
All of this weight added to the engine to add +20 hp
ОтветитьI want to swap a rx8 13b engine inside a 370z but keep the interior and keep all the components that’s already in the car. Idk if I need the engine and transmission but also don’t bout the ECU too bkz idk if the wiring harness would work with the Nissan wires thts Inside the car already. Idk where to start or look for, there’s no videos bout it but if some kan tell wat I need to do or send me a link tht would help a lot. If this made sense some how I would like the help
ОтветитьCould you tell me what you need for mitsubishi galant 2.5 V6?
ОтветитьWould just like to say road tuning isnt that bad. Yes obviously on a dyno its easier and safer but a skilled tuner with a laptop in the passenger seat while driving around can still get you to make the same power you could on the dyno you just wont exactly know what that power is. Im currently doing a fuel injection swop on a carburator engine. Im going aftermarket ecu and will be wiring it up and road tuning it since its a non turbo 4x4 ie. Not very fast and breaking the speed limit is sketchy. This will be my firat ever ecu install and tune but i have done my research and its doesnt seem that hard obviously a profesional will get it done better and faster but I like the learning curve
ОтветитьKhazmat
ОтветитьIve heard "lets slap a big ol turbo on there" too much. Its not that easy lol
Ответитьdude what do you do for a living, are you an engineer or smthing?
ОтветитьDidn‘t know half the rhings so i think i might abort the mission to retrofit a turbocharger in a subaru justy II 😂😢
ОтветитьDoes a turbo increase mpg
ОтветитьI was just looking around. This is quality. I stayed.
ОтветитьSounds like 50k for a turbo setup. 😅
ОтветитьMe watching this after I found a turbo in our scrap bin at work 😭
ОтветитьFirst a 2year old video, this helps to have knowledge on any car. Thanks for the video I was wondering to upgrade my car to get from 340hp to 430hp
ОтветитьThe name of this video should be "you're probably not gonna turbo your car adtyer this" lol
Ответитьso long dreams on converting my car to turbo lol. this is more complicated than expected.
ОтветитьEvery video i watch on turbocharging your car, i never hear anyone mention ring gap. Does a naturally aspirated engine have different gaping than a turbocharged one? I have a QG18 and want to install a turbo and wanna know everything b4 i start. All you explained here, i understand, but i need to know about the ring gaping pleeeeeeease.
ОтветитьI’m wanting to turbocharge my KIA Forte GT-Line 2023 but I don’t want to void the warranty or damage my engine
ОтветитьIs it okay to turbo an automatic 2005 Honda accord?
Not one of those yea you could but why would u
But would it be rad? Or would that be a dumb waste
no tranny still fine to be boosted
ОтветитьThis was a really good video 👍🏽
Ответить1. Internals
2. Fueling
3. Ignition
4. Know your goals
5. Pick a Turbo
6. Get exhaust
7. Plumbing
8. Intercooler
9. Oiling
10. Gauges & Wideband
thank you SO MUCH my guy!!! much love!
ОтветитьSo basically just buy a scat
ОтветитьHow about a boost controller?
Ответитьwhat about an electric car?
ОтветитьQUICKEST WAYS TO TURBOCHARGE YOUR CAR - 1. Switch to 91 octane or higher top-tier premium fuel, 2. Switch to iridium spark plugs - preferably Bosch, 3. Attach a "turbo" logo to the rear of your car.
Ответитьall turbo motors implode within 50000 miles!!!
Ответитьwastegate
ОтветитьYeah you can turbocharge just about any car but if the engine isn’t built to handle boost how long do you think it’s going to last with factory internals ? If your planning on boosting an engine do it properly ffs.
ОтветитьThanks for making my car explode 😁
(Jk it works thanks ☺)
Why do I driving naturally aspired cars after I had over 10 turbo cars?!?! Because it's way more fun. Use supercharger instead if you want to boost, way more fun and better linear power control.
ОтветитьI gotta say… after watching this I unfollowed Scotty and started following you. 😂
ОтветитьI've a turbo on my car as standard but don't know the components well enough. This has helped lots. Many thanks
ОтветитьExcellent video! Question... What about engine internal requirements to handle a turbo? Will standard elements be OK? Or do the rings, valves etc need upgraded or adjustment? Cheers from NZ, looking to turbo an 80's 6 cylinder XJS jag 😅
ОтветитьWhat you need to turbocharge your car. Buy a car that's turbocharged. Hahaha all jokes aside this is quality information and the tuning is often over looked man.
ОтветитьGrate edited video.
ОтветитьGreat video , but you can tell this guy has never wrenched on a car the turbo is the least important part on a car that wasn’t turboed before any turbo within reason is an upgrade, different story if you upgrade an already factory turbo car then it becomes very important
Fuel and engine management is the most important part of a turbo build on a car that wasn’t already turboed, and he forgot the rising rate fuel pressure regulator
Currently turbocharging my 2009 cobalt lt or at least getting it prepped for turbo lol.. waiting for a MLS headgasket, fuel injectors and a new fuel pump because the current one sometimes doesn't work properly so the engine doesn't get enough fuel and dies when you go to accelerate from a dead stop. Other than that runs like a dream for 250k miles. Hell the engine doesn't even get above 200° unless I'm speeding like an idiot and dogging the engine
ОтветитьI got 02 ram3.7 truck I can't get it
Ответить
