I am not impressed with your recommendations. I have been sewing 50 years and I would not get any of those for a beginner. I would say the Singer 44-- series heavy duty machines. I have several machines, but one is a Singer 4452 heavy duty. It is mechanical. Computerised machines have too much that can go wrong and frustrate a beginner. These are solid, true heavy duty machines that will last for years. There are many reviews online that recommend them. And what's with "winding a bobbin by hand?" Even my 120 year old Singer trestle has a bobbin winder. I have never seen a machine that didn't! And that mini machine...more of a toy than a machine.
ОтветитьThanks. I wish you and others would open up the front to show the inner workings as well as the thread path. My sewing machine thread placeholders are junk, so thread comes out or breaks from snags. I hate it. I'm looking for a new machine, so I'm interested in a reliable one.
