Fun-fact: I've always tapped my card the way Bloody does, even ten years before anyone even thought about programming MtG Arena. ^^ It only has advantages: It looks better, it is less effort, you need less space on the board....win-win-win. :)

Did y’all miss the risen reef trigger in game one? I don’t know if I’m missing something but when she cast her second cavalier of thorns it’s an elemental knight so it would’ve triggered risen reef

Moment she put the planeswalker down and began building that field up I was so hoping jim would drop a damnation just to wipe that board. Honestly game was ok to watch but old magic is almost always going to be at a disadvantage compared to newer magic due to the power creep.

I think, if given any standard deck from my past, I would go with Urza's Saga standard before they banned everything.

I just got back into Magic after over two decades and this channel has been amazing for relearning things and catching up on the current mechanics. This video in particular was fun watching an older deck play against newer ones and seeing how much of a difference there is. Plus loving seeing all the diversity of the guests because it makes this trans girl feel like part of the community.

Wait am I mistaken with how the infest interaction would work? the prof's lord of the unreal is a 2/2 which buffs his other illusions making them +1+1 stronger while also giving them hexproof therefor his bears are now 3/3 hexproof, his phantasmal image is a 3/3 copy of lord of the unreal with hexproof himself but is only 3/3 because of lord of the unreal... also buffing his bears to 4/4's but if he cast infest and the 2/2 original copy of lord of unreal would then die, therefor removing the +1+1 the phantasmal image got bringing it down to a 2/2 and the bears down to 3/3 and seeing as infest gave everything -2-2 the phantasmal image would then die too which would also bring the bears down to 2/2 which would then of course kill them too right? am I tripping or isn't that how that interaction would play out?

Just wondering, did nissa making lands into elementals not count for risen reef? Still very new to magic and wondering why that wouldn't go off
