August in the City (FULL LESBIAN SHORT FILM)

This is makes me cry a lot. Thanks this wonderful movie.

One thing I really love about this short, is how Clem reacts to August saying she's pregnant. The fact she kicked her out and didn't give it a second thought, I wish more films showed that side of it. Most women or men in Clem's position would do exactly the same, that's a line you can't come back from. I also like the actress who plays August reaction to Clem's reaction to the pregnancy news. The moment Clem snaps and yells at her, probably first time she's seen Clem react like that she doesn't stick around. That was the moment that I really fell in love with this short.

I also like that August doesn't look shocked with the way Clem reacts, and probably with her crying before she tells her the news she knows Clem will never forgive her. It's really sad.

Nice ending but let's look at how downbeat it really is. The mother is a loveless marriage and is a borderline alcoholic and you can't imagine Sal, the dad been welcoming his lesbian daughter and her partner with open arms.


Great short.

I’m glad she made a right one by raising a lesbian daughter, has her full support from which she’s supposed to do after she broke Clementine’s heart. Great story of love and acceptance.♥️
