Hi Josh, I see you are the instructor for leveldcareers. For cyber security.. how good is the program if you have a basic IT job? Will this give you the knowledge necessary for an entry Cybersecurity role?
ОтветитьPls can I have your personal email pls pls pls pls
ОтветитьCan you make a video about your take on Chat GTP and what it means for future developers?
ОтветитьHi Josh, really appreciate your videos! Do you have any idea how common it is for non-US citizens to get visa sponsorship in cybersecurity entry-level jobs?
ОтветитьWhere have you been? Hope you’re okay and nothing serious has happened to you. Can’t wait for you to come back and keep producing quality content.
ОтветитьThanks Josh! I have almost completed the CompTIA trifecta. On a resume is it better to mark it as A+, Net+ and Sec+ or as CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist, their Stackable Certification? I was curious if it mattered and if employers prefer one. Thank you for everything you do!
ОтветитьHi Josh, I love watching your videos and have been inspired to start a career in I.T. However I have come across a road block (as have many others) in that WGU are no longer accepting international students. I live in the U.K and would like it if you could please make a video for alternative schools that have similar accredited Cyber degrees accepting non-US citizens - that you may know of, as I'm sure there are many of your viewers that have also stumbled into this road block. Kind Regards, Ryan
ОтветитьHey Josh do you have any tips on setting up a linkedin account for someone just starting to get into tech and trying to land their first job in either software engineer or anything in the tech industry?
Ответитьi've been a jr. network engineer about 8 months, how hard is it to transition from regular network engineering to cloud network engineering and what hard skills should I have and what certifications should I go for to be able to get a cloud focused job in the next 12 months
ОтветитьI was trying to get into IT with no experience, this is crazy I have absolutely no chance of landing a job now with all these thousands of tech workers with a lot of experience and certs being laid off and desperate also looking for positions,, I am glad I didn't start my cloud bachelor's yet, what's ur honest opinion? Not looking good for ppl with little to no experience
ОтветитьHey Josh. May you give us your take on CHATGPT when it comes to future programmer’s and I.T in general. Thank you.
ОтветитьHi Josh, I hope you had a relaxing winter holiday and enjoyed New Years. I have a bit of an off topic question that I've been meaning to ask for a while. This question is a bit tricky/philosophical so I understand if you don't want to answer XD. My question is: to what extent does pursuing a career in IT provide a person with meaning in terms of positively impacting the world to solve issues? These issues include things like: climate change, plastic pollution, world hunger, poverty, homelessness, etc. Is it possible for an IT expert to contribute towards changing these world issues, for instance working for an NGO or even the UN? Thank you again in advance if you answer :)
ОтветитьHello,
Love all the videos. Could you please make a detailed video to get into Azure for someone who is brand new to tech. Thanks!!
Hey what’s up Josh! I started your course on CourseCareers, and I just got my first offer today!
ОтветитьCan you get into cybersecurity with a associates CIS, certs, top security clearance.
ОтветитьI am currently thinking about and doing a lot of research to get into IT. What I’ve done since highschool is all blue collar jobs so I have alot of tattoos and wondering if they might set me back or prevent me from jobs all together? The only visible ones I have that can’t be hidden with a long sleeve shirt is both my hands covered and a very small one behind one ear
ОтветитьHey josh do you happen to know any good projects I could do to add to my resume for cloud computing jobs or something that would look good?
ОтветитьJosh will you be making a video about the new “BA Software Engineering” degree they came out with after updating the “ BA Software Development” degree??
ОтветитьHey bro
I recently finished my CyberSec degree at WGU.
But my end goal is Software Eng
I went with the CyberSec degree because it was less math heavy and kinda interesting but I know I would never pass clearances due to my record.
I’m currently self learning Python thru WGU Alumni resources…what else should I learn to add to my resume to land a software job?
Hey man quick question, I’m getting my bachelor’s degree for computer science in Cybersecurity. I’m super excited about this, do you think this degree can land me a good job? and a job that pays good? I live in Michigan and I’m hoping a bachelor’s degree is enough to enter the field.
ОтветитьPlease make a new video on the new Software Engineering degree at WGU! Thanks
ОтветитьAre apprenticeships helpful?
ОтветитьAny insight in the data analytics world? If WGU is a good place for this degree? Earning potential etc.
ОтветитьJosh !!!! We need to give us an update on the Cybersecurity and information assurance update. This would be extremely helpful since I was using your template. We need a new BISCA
ОтветитьHi Josh! Thank you for all the information you've provided to all of us. Question, can you update your spreadsheet to reflect the changes that WGU just posted to all their Degrees? A lot of courses changed, especially in the IT degrees. Thanks again!
ОтветитьI’ve seen a track to devops video from several other people could you do one Josh? Like when I should learn docker, kubernetes, or just go straight to a cloud guru? What exactly is automation? Thanks Josh!😊
ОтветитьI am taking the Information Technology course right now! I'm excited to persue this career but on LinkedIn there are no IT Entry listings in Denver, CO where I live, nor are there hybrid or remote positions at least not through CourseCareers
ОтветитьMan, I hope it’s not too late to ask a question.
I’ve been in IT for several years. Started late in the game. I’m currently 36, just got a higher tier job. I’m an Mobile Device Management Analyst (focusing on Mobile Iron, Maas360 and Intune). My end goal IT wise is cybersecurity or Infosec dealing with the cloud. I’m interested in going to WGU and even started the process. However, I’m not sure if the Cloud Computing degree would be better for me or the Cybersecurity and Information Assurance degree would be better. I know either way, I’ll have to learn something of each regardless of which I go for. Which do you think would be the better way to go?
Also, keep up the great work! I love your videos and the Instagram account is very entertaining.
Stay blessed brother!
Just the video I needed. Currently a service desk intern, I have already started looking into devops practices and applying these things in a project of my own. Excited to see where this next year will bring me, thanks for the continued awesome videos!
ОтветитьAfter spending a year and a few months as a field technician, I start my first service desk analyst position on Jan 9th. I'm currently in online college for Cyber-Security, and I want my next job to be in SOC. Is python something I should focus on to transition into that field later on?
ОтветитьGreat video. Very informative. Hope your new career is going well.
ОтветитьThoughts on WGU Cloud Computing degree? Would this be a good path to go from help desk to DevOps? On a side note, do you think WGU is as academically challenging as a traditional brick & mortar university?
ОтветитьHey Josh! 👋 I was wondering if you can make a detailed video on how easy/stressful the jobs are for each IT and Computer Science role for example IT General, IT Management etc. Also which IT jobs will most likely let you work remotely. Thanks so much for the great info as always it's greatly appreciated 🙏
ОтветитьWhich scripting language is in the most demand right now aside from Python? & Happy holidays, Josh.
ОтветитьBig props to everything you’ve done, Josh. I’ve got 7 years of experience in GRC/Vuln Mgmt, CISSP, GIAC certs, and a clearance. I’m looking at pivoting down a new path of software engineering to hopefully pivot into AppSec/Cloud Security years down the line. I’m looking at CodeSmith (Coding Bootcamp) and the WGU CompSci..I think I’ll do both! I have no coding experience but I think it’s going to be a fun journey and open up new opportunities, especially with clearance roles always being available :)
ОтветитьAwesome video. Yes. Focus on learning the on demand skills and build a portfolio.
ОтветитьThanks Josh, this was really in-depth. I will certainly reference this multiple times into the future. You are out here helping people to realize their potential and survive economic hardships. If it wasn't for you, it would be a lot harder for me to pursue my dreams. I have pointed friends and acquaintances your way and will continue to do so because your content is always on point!
ОтветитьAnything without coding while trying to pursue the cloud or cyber route?
ОтветитьI did some very similar but me was from help desk to pentesting, now i been doing it for about 4 yrs and i love it every minute!
ОтветитьI'm trying to get into Data Science and Software Engineering from Customer Service. I'm slowly learning Python from Udemy first, very slowly. I know Mosh has it too. I intend to do that and W3schools and learnpython. Then I'll learn C or something.
ОтветитьThank you for this video and always giving career advice. I always had interest in Coding and cybersecurity, I enrolled last year in DEVSECOPS course. Also, enroll in python at CISCO network academy. Envy you being in my old stomping grounds Tokyo,Japan. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
ОтветитьThanks for the video and great advice! I’m currently learning C# and once I have a handle on that hopefully I can learn some more languages.
