Allyson Felix Opens Up About Her Friendship With Britton Wilson

No one can understand an athlete better than his or her own fellow athlete; as is the case with Allyson Felix and #BrittonWilson. Sharing similar beliefs and narratives as Wilson, retired athlete Allyson Felix was the perfect personality to interview the young athlete after Wilson made it to the list of six #trackandfield student-athletes who were named the 2023 Glamour College Women of the Year.

“There are so many shared feelings of being a young athlete in this conversation.” This was how Felix captioned her Instagram story as she posted one of Wilson’s statements during the interview.

Needless to say, it has been a busy season for Britton Wilson, so much so that she hasn’t had a chance to process the fact that she became the fourth-fastest American 400-meter runner of all time in June.

The month before that, she clocked 49.13 seconds to win the Southeastern Conference championships, which vaulted her up the list. Take note: it was one spot ahead of 11-time Olympic medalist #allysonfelix . However, she barely had a chance to dwell on the magnitude of her performance before stepping back onto the track to run the 400-meter hurdles.
