Home Depot will no longer cut the boards-fyi. They do sell 2x4 white board sections that also had a chalk board on the back. $8 each. It’s in the 4 foot section that I never knew existed.

They once worked great, but the newer versions have a no gloss finish. For years I used these. Once a year I replaced it. I treated the board with coconut oil which sealed the pores. However, they no longer sell the high gloss boards If you can find one with a slick surface in bright not dull white.
