my next video is going to be about the green knight. interesting coincidence.
Ответитьlove the quality content you provide🤎
ОтветитьExcellent video!
In addition to the triangle of shutter, aperture, and ISO, many cameras have variable ND behind the lens. This is another important way to control exposure.
GREAT video!
ОтветитьVery helpful tips, thank you for creating and sharing this!!
ОтветитьWhen the video started I just knew you were going to go in depth anyways when you said a basic video
ОтветитьExcellent thanks!
ОтветитьObrigado por este vídeo
ОтветитьI hope to move out of the UK and go to do Film Study in Michigan State, although I am only 11 years old I thought your videos would be a good way to get me started on cinematography.
ОтветитьAre you South African by any chance?
ОтветитьThis was an awesome video
Ответить🔥
ОтветитьVery well explained.
ОтветитьMost useful guide ever
ОтветитьI’m such a fan of your videos and knowledge. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьExcellent!!!! Awesome!!!
ОтветитьI love your sense of humor. I look forward to more vids on cinematography
ОтветитьExcellent video. Hopefully you got enough requests for the lighting basics. I’ll keep watching more of your work here.
Ответитьgreat vid...
ОтветитьI just want to say thank you for your content!!! I can't believe its free
ОтветитьThe thought that a lot of beginner cinematographers disregard light at first is a bit funny to me since that is what got me interested in this role in the first place
ОтветитьThe exposure triangle is very interesting. I spend a lot of time learning ISO, lately 7222 at 3200! I develop the film myself, then print it using a Uhler Cine Printer, and develop That! There is the exposure in the camera and then there is the exposure in the printer. It is also effected by chemical dilution or concentration, temperature, time and agitation.
ОтветитьWhat's the name of the period drama with the darking lighting in this video?
ОтветитьAdorei sua técnica de me mostrar como fazer um bom vídeo
ОтветитьThank you! I am trying to understand the cine function on my camera.
ОтветитьYour background music was far too loud and annoying.
I’m sure what you said was very interesting but I just couldn’t watch this longer than 30 sec without creeping out over that music.
Thanks mate! Very helpful
ОтветитьLove the video!
ОтветитьDam author I wish I had known people like you in film school. When I went to film school I dropped out because it was during the Tarantino phenomenon. Tarantino this Tarantino that it's like I made enemies just for saying that Tarantino was ok. I wanted to learn what you're talking about but they would never explain it like that. We had to read books with like 1 diagram and hundreds of pages. I remember debating with professors, but they would just treat me like I was arguing with them. When I went to film school it was more of a hobby than a career choice. If you wanted to work in film you had to move to L.A to get anywhere. I wasn't willing to at the time. Back then the internet wasn't what it is now and only good film schools were in L.A. New York was about Broadway it wasn't about film. But now with the internet you can get exposed to the master film makers. I regret dropping out and never finishing film school. I wish I could make a movie again but I don't know if I'll be willing to give that to the world.
ОтветитьWe have amazing detail in today’s 6-8 K cameras yet so many movies are ridiculously dark not just dark scenes but most scenes it seems like a trend today by filmmakers. They are using blur filters on 8 k cameras. Also background blur is so that only one head is in focus all else is out of focus .sometimes with bad focus pulling .
ОтветитьTaking a shot as I am seeing through my my eyes
ОтветитьAnd why can't we shoot in natural light it will give a real life effect unless and until script demands a different scene like natural sunlight or highlight
ОтветитьWhy we need know psychological effects and can't we arrange the camera in scenes according to the connectivity of the scenes and I am cinematographer so I should know better and not approval so can't be camera placement be normal if
Ответитьbest video!!!
ОтветитьGreat video.
However, I would actually add a fourth 'essential' cinematography element.
Focus and focus pulling.
You can have the best lighting, best camera moves and outstanding exposure.
Unfortunately, if all of those amazing elements are out of focus, your project is DOA.
Focus is something that you can't really 'fix in post' either. Bad focus is bad source images.
Therefore, I would add this to the 'basics' for good cinematography.
Just my opinion. I am no 'expert'.
Looking at that exposure triangle my love for variable ND filters rose up in protest and then I remembered.... ohhhhh, Right. Basics. It's a basics video.
ОтветитьNice !
ОтветитьAre you South African bro?
ОтветитьI hear a South African accent!
ОтветитьThank you ! Very informative !🙏🙏
ОтветитьSincerely, 'Thank You' for putting that one together!
It might seem unnecessary to explain the basics like that, but it was really helpful. To the extent that I'll probably watch that three or four times, before trying to apply it to the rest of the research into cameras that I'm going to have to do. I understand more and more all the time, but we all need an understanding of the basics !
An ability to communicate is essential.
ОтветитьGood and Informative ♥️
ОтветитьWhats the name of the movie shown in the first part of the video?
ОтветитьCan anybody name the actress or the movie in the thumbnail , thanks
Ответитьuseful 10mins
ОтветитьSometime dark turn the skin to grainy when dark. When smooth it out the skin too soft. How to make the skin clear and take the grainy off?
