The difference is, when at your peak you were aggressive yet consistent. You're still capable of playing those same shots, but you have lost your consistency. Otherwise, you would be up there today, with the best competing for titles..
ОтветитьGod you've aged well... I watched you as a kid
ОтветитьHow can you make such video without showing the actual shots...
ОтветитьOnce a champion always a champion .golden boy . ❤
ОтветитьDon’t think the blue is that hard of a shot, yea I do play at clubs but most the times I miss it I leave it safe
ОтветитьHenry....probably the best player under pressure!
(Other than the black lost to William)
My late father took me to see Stephen and Jimmy White play an exhibition match in the local sports center in. Grangemouth. Obviously a deeply partisan crowd cheered for Stephen if he as much as chalked his cue, but was still great to see 2 of the best in the game. Ps full size tables look massive to a 12 year old kid, they still do!
ОтветитьProbably like so many other can remember watching those shots and cheering in amazement the first time around
ОтветитьThe fearlessness of Stephen in his young years was always absolutely fascinating for me back then. He brought me, a totally ignorant European, to play snooker when I studied in the UK and get totally addicted.
Ответить" The King Of The Crucible."
ОтветитьThe standard has definitely improved since the reign of Hendry, but the ability shown at the time would have risen to the challenge of today's standard. My point is, we have much more capability within, produced when it's really needed to. I have no doubt judged on Hendry's reign he would have become an even better player today. BTW I was never a Hendry fan, boy did create an army of people just wishing him to lose, that's how dominant his reign was. Thank you
ОтветитьI wish you'd have showed the original shot before your attempt. Brilliant shots though!
ОтветитьHendry winning the decider with a 147 against Ronnie on the back of losing 6 frames in a row, shows his true class.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьSteven your a legend. Wonderful to watch. John
ОтветитьI love u
ОтветитьAbsolutely astonishing. You brought the attacking snooker which has made this game awesome. Thank you Stephen Hendry. You are a legend.
ОтветитьLove this content, nice one Stephen x
ОтветитьSome great memories Stephen I remember watching everyone of those matches
ОтветитьThe recreation of these shots, just goes to show how good Stephen Hendry was under pressure. The more pressure, the better Hendry got. It was like Hendry was playing under a trance.
ОтветитьI was lucky to watch 4 of these 5 shots live on TV. As a big Stephen Hendry fan, it was hard to watch. The one against Steve Davis was the hardest, Davis had dominated for so long and lots of players had crumbled against him, this was the moment that changed that. The one against Jimmy White was less tense for me, as I would've loved Jimmy to win a world championship, so I had mixed emotions about that one. Missed the final frame 147, as I think it was on Sky, that I didn't have. Was watching the scores on Ceefax😂
ОтветитьGreat series but why o why didn’t you show us the real shot, all we saw was a still! That’s just teasing Steve!
ОтветитьWhen I watched Stephen play his matches back in the days, when Stephen was not potting balls and sits on his seat, I thought there was something wrong with the TV signals, because he was always sitting still, like completely still, not even a single movement or facial expression 😂 Now, he’s a very interesting gentleman and TV/ internet show character 😊 still like you so much! Stephen ( The King of the game)
ОтветитьAnother great video, thanks! Wonder why the actual shots were cut off.
ОтветитьYou gotta invite Break From Life
Please
Come on Stephen, i have watched you play more difficult balls….
ОтветитьMy favourite snooker player of all time 😁😁😁
ОтветитьBravo!
Ответить"it's boring, i wanna win the frame"
ОтветитьCould a killer tournament 3 lifes happen with snooker players.
Same rules as pool but you have to play it to the rules of snooker.
Red 1 person colour next red next.
Just a thought of the top of my head 🤣
I've never been a snooker fan and I have no idea why YT decided to push these videos at me, but I'm glad it did. This stuff is fascinating and far better than actually watching a game.
Ответить147k views 😮
Ответитьman, i love this stuff. It's like going behind the curtain in the wizard of oz. Thanks Stephen for sharing, and for the little anecdotes. fantastic content :)
ОтветитьReally enjoying your videos Stephen 🙏💦 Brown was the shot, brilliant 👍🏼 what a session of snooker the best ever 👍🏼
ОтветитьGreat content as always, but where are the cue tip videos ?
ОтветитьUsed to hate mister Davis. Love him these days.
Used to hate mister Hendry. This channel after his match commentary has totally changed my mind, and now I love him too.
Jimmy I used to love, now...
All great shots. That blue along the rail in the UK final was simply incredible. It was another nail in the coffin of Steve Davis’s reign and the beginning of Hendry’s dominance.x
ОтветитьWould have been an idea to actually show us the real shots instead of just explaining it…..
ОтветитьHe is superb under pressure. But I remember the fairly easy black decider of the Master against Mark William was painful loss for him.
ОтветитьTake 27 "There you go! 3d Time lucky"
Just kidding, loving this content.
I love that he isnt humble about it. These were great shots, and he was just and animal under pressure, and he knows it
Ответитьthat blue with the rest is probably the best shot, given the circumstances, I've ever seen from any player.
ОтветитьI’ll never forget that maximum to win 9-8. One of the best sporting performances I’ve ever seen. I even got other family members watching who didn’t like snooker. It was magic. Absolutely magnificent.
ОтветитьBrown was not tight Mr H...x
ОтветитьSir I always miss you in snooker
But your long pots were my top favourite no one can beat them god bless take care
Would've been nice to see the original shot before you replicate it
ОтветитьHave you tried the Murphy behind the black red in the middle snooker escape/pot ? How difficult is it as a no sighter one off ? Did he have a choice ?
ОтветитьLoved watching your rivalry with Steve Davis back in the day, love the little digs at him in your videos, and love that you're the best of friends these days. It's great when you have him on the channel... so many stories.
ОтветитьDid White used to bet against himself?
