The GT 1030 - Hanging by a Thread? Or already Dead?

Hey kryzzp! I have a gt 1030 and have been playing elden ring, after they came out with patch 1.4 it completely made it unplayable. what i find myself doing is constantly moving to different areas in the game to load in different areas, and then i quit and launch the game a few times, and surprisingly enough, it goes back to a playable 25-30fps. Its really weird and i hope they fix this issue in the next patch or few, however i am getting a new GPU soon so it's alright for me. Can't wait to play elden ring at 60!

Hey what happens if i connect this gpu with pcie 3 into a pcie 2.0 slot and tell me about the bottlenecking of i3 4150 and gt 1030 gddr5

My 1030 is finally on its last one leg

i still use it to this day cuz im broke asf still lets me play apex with 70+fps but no triple a games

I have been using this gpu since I built my pc back in January 2021 and it is a good gpu, it works well with all the games I play and I have no problems with it

I'd like to testify about my gt 1030 experience. I've successfully played Skyrim with a crap ton of mods, a lot of Warframe, and some GTA V, too. Just because you can't afford the best, doesn't mean you can't enjoy what you have (:

Better get the GTX 960 for cheap, onley needs one 6 pin, well the 2GB version anyway.

I had a gt 1030 for 3 years and squeezed the absolute life out of it! But I upgraded to a rtx 3060 ti and I was flipping out when I got over 60 frames haha

actually purchased this card for my new budget build. Works solid. Certain games have noticable FPS drops but aside from that... the card works. Solid. For $100 bucks new couldn't beat it.

Man this takes me back. I remember the first time I loaded up Far Cry 1 and it ran at what must have been 15-20 fps and I was still blown away by the effects. And now I'm playing Far Cry 5 at 4K 140-ish and I'm already used to it. Time flies.
