Great helpful video! I'm really glad you mentioned the not caring attitude other-side, because that's exactly how I felt I would handle that mindset when you were first talking about it. Now I need to explore why my mind thinks that way haha.
ОтветитьI think employers use the same logic that most women use when they pick up men
They always seem attracted to arrogance, because they confuse arrogance with confidence
These are excellent tips! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьGreat video! I've actually used the "Well I'm probably not going to get this job but this will be good practice"...Low and behold I got the call a few days later with an offer!
ОтветитьI'm glad you added that caveat to mindset trick 1.... Because if you do act like it's literally the only question you're going to be asked, you might be tempted to talk for 7 minutes and incorporate things that aren't actually relevant to the question.
ОтветитьGreat video, especially the tip about actors in auditions. So true and excellent advice.
ОтветитьYou hit everything spot on! I have my PA school interview today and will take these tips with me! This is my only interview so far, wish me luck!
ОтветитьI speak way too quickly in interviews as you mention, any tips on how to slow down and not forget my train of thought, or stop my mind from going blank? Also any tips on how not to look like a deer caught in the headlights if you get asked a question u can't answer?
ОтветитьCortisol is probably what you're thinking of when you said dopamine (: Cortisol levels are heightened in your system when you are stressed, and so living in stress for long periods of time (body isnt meant to be in fight/flight/freeze/fawn mode more than temporarily) is bad for you because the heightened cortisol levels can really affect your health. Mental stress starts to manifest physically. Ive gotten stress colds several times before, as it affects your quality of sleep (even if youre getting a full 7-9 hours, usually its less restful), and that lowers your immune system's capabilities to fight off illnesses. You can have short term memory issues when youre both chronically stressed AND/OR when you're not getting good sleep. This affects information retention, learning, and memory in general. I highly recommend the book Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker. Its so good! It talks about the importance of sleep for our physical health, mental health, memory, learning, and long term health overall. I also recommend therapy and/or visiting a doctor, if thats available to you, if youre living in anxiety a lot of the time. Mindfulness exercises and journaling also help, because they get you to think about your emotions and what might be causing you stress. Eating good, sleeping good and consistently, and getting some light movement/exercise also helps.
Feel free to correct me in the comments if I've gotten anything wrong, I'm going off of experience and some googling and therapy haha. Thanks for the video! And good luck to everyone doing job interviews!
Hey Cass, I've been watching your videos, and it's been helping my prepare for a job interview I have tomorrow. I've been getting a lot of nerves, but watching these videos have been helpful. Thanks for all the helpful tips!
ОтветитьI love this. 🙏🏽💖
Ответить"You can't walk in without practicing and do well." Me. "Bet."
ОтветитьMan, I do not know. My brain just shuts off during the interview process. Idk how to combat this. I feel like there are no words in my head :(
ОтветитьI have an interview in 3 hrs
ОтветитьThanks all the three steps are top tier 10 I’d use them lol
ОтветитьI like these tips, even the "may not work for everyone" tip. I think that works for me. :) I started years ago with the mindset of "I am your asset, you're looking for ME," not the other way around, to build my confidence. I don't go in with an attitude, b/c I'm not wired that way, however I do go in with more confidence now, than when I was starting the work life. But I've had time to get here. :)
ОтветитьThis was helpful thank you.
ОтветитьBest advice: I’m just going to have a fun conversation with someone about the things I love to do and am good at!!! 🙏🏼
ОтветитьAn alternative to "not going to get it" could be "I'm going to get it." And that might take the pressure off as well.
ОтветитьI always feel nervous in attending interview. I hope your suggestions will help me to overcome interview nervousness.
Thank you
that first tip was amazing thank you!
ОтветитьInformative ❤
ОтветитьI just watched it hours before my interview and for a fact the last tip worked magic for me. I was surprised how relaxed i felt. The session was very interactive. Many thanks dear.
ОтветитьI’m literally sitting outside the building about to be interviewed in 10 minutes. I should’ve watched this sooner!
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI like the third one. It's like reverse Psychology.
Ответить7 hours to an international interview and I bump into this video, ooh my, the taking the time to answer a question and not rushing was so helpful, i was ready for 'rush around answering and be done with it," God bless you girl
ОтветитьI’ve got my collage one soon and I’m super nervous I feel like I’m gonna mess it up
ОтветитьI loved the third advice xp
ОтветитьThis is really helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьMy interview is in 20 mins 🥹 wish me luck please..
ОтветитьGood advise contained here but the delivery and visual jumping around gave me increased anxiety!
ОтветитьThe entire interview process is flawed. Perspective employees usually "fluff" their resumes and the interview itself because employers expect that. You can't actually say why you left a job because even though we all know there must have been some serious flaws to leave, we're not allowed to say that. The company also generally misrepresents itself, either in terms of culture or performance expectations, or some combination of negative factors. So employee lies. Company lies. And then wonders why it wasn't a great fit and why they are spending so much money on recruiting and hiring. It's laughable
ОтветитьYou really helped me today
ОтветитьI wish they would tell you how many questions there will be!!
Ответитьa very helpful video
ОтветитьMy heart beating hard right now. I have an interview in about an hour. I’m scared I’m going to ramble but I’m still think positive !!
ОтветитьSolid reminders!! Thanks. Its been a while since interviewing and I needed this
ОтветитьThe issue is I forget why I’m good for the job and insecurity takes over
ОтветитьFound this right before interview. Awesome advice. Thank you.
ОтветитьI’m was happy you said number 3 because I was starting to think I was hurting myself by thinking that way but when I think it and say it. It causes me to calm down and act like it’s just practice but my best practice. Maybe Even prepare for a better one. What a relief.
ОтветитьThank you for this I’ve a competency based interview in ten days and I’m sick at the thoughts of it. Six competencies two examples each as a base point and then all the other surprise questions. I think that a good strategy about pretending the job is already someone else’s but you are going to give it your best as practice as tbh this is the case. But anything is possible 🌸
ОтветитьI’ve heard this last top a lot and that it helps the interviewer be more attracted to your energy. And when you feel desperate for the job, that energy comes off as less attractive. Thank you for these tips. They’re all gems.
ОтветитьLove you, girl! 👍🏻💕
Ответить30 mins left , lets go 💪🏼
ОтветитьLove your energy and the tips! Thank you so so so much
ОтветитьThe 3rd tip was the one that I want to use it in my interviews .
ОтветитьEverytime the questions come about my life my mind just goes into super slow mode.
ОтветитьI'm an introvert and I have my first ever interview tomorrow (my first job, I'm a teenager) it's at spirit Halloween so I know its probably gonna be a really laid back interview but I'm still really nervous :,)
Wish me luck :D
My interview is approximately one hour in a half, I’ll update later 😭*Update, I got the job🎉
