The Hope of God's Light

I feel promted to leave my testimony here for those who might feel resonated with, my family and I are converts to the church in Vietnam back in 2012, I remember I found true joy for the 1st time in my life through the spirit I felt at the church. Fast forward, because of my own choices I wandered on different paths of life, the lightness of heart that I used to feel has gradually faded away but each and every time I am in my despairs, God has never left me, I feel His comfort as I pray. I have always wanted to come back to church, to come Home, I miss the joy, the lighteness of heart I once felt when I commited to God and kept his teachings as standards for my living. I testify that only in God's presence, we find peace. Temptations of this world only gets louder and louder, you might find temporary satisfactions in what belongs to the world but they are only temporary and often time, there is a price, consequence we have to pay for. Yes, they are all lessons we must through to learn and grow but if now we choose light over darkness, choose God over the earthly things, we will use our precious time on earth to experience love, joy and peace over sorrows and regrets. If anything, I know that only in God's light, there is hope. I know Jesus Christ's atonement is able for us to heal and start anew. I know the church is true. ❤

I wish God would have sent someone to my son. We tried, we prayed so much for him. But he took his life anyway this past Jan. He was 26. 😢 forever in pain. I do believe in God still, I just wish it could he different and I am truly grateful to have had 26 years with my son Baylor. I miss him so much. I ache, I hurt, but I’m thankful.

This video is one of the most heartwarming stories I've ever heard and seen.

Upon reading these comments, in addition to watching the video, has strengthened my faith immensely. Hundreds of testimonies of Jesus Christ and His gospel—all from just ONE video. ONE. These are accounts (aka testimonies) of Jesus Christ HIMSELF that I do not doubt He will use to prove His Saints worthy of entering His Kingdom at Judgement Day.

This video (and Let God Guide You: From Weakness to Strength) has taught me that God is kind. He is loving and forgiving and completely understanding of our circumstances and situations. I have been quite hard on myself throughout my life, but God asked me, “Why would you talk to my daughter that way?” It hit me like a brick. I realized how judgmental and overcritical I had been of, not only others, but myself. He has taught be so much. Having faith in Him doesn’t necessarily meaning not worrying about it. Job worried. He cried and cared—a lot. He expressed his emotions and circumstances to God. Christ showed Him the way. Christ gave Job mercy and kindness. Christ was there for him—always. Why are we any different? Progress takes patience and time. Progress is practice, and practice is not perfect; nor does it make perfection, but improvement.

Deuteronomy 31:6, 1 John 4:9-10,

“That spiritual light rarely comes to those who nearly sit in darkness, waiting for someone to flip a switch. It takes an act of faith to open our eyes to the light of Christ” ❤️

I want to believe. I've been tring to believe.
But I always find myself thinking.
If you choose to have good morals and values. Then the people you end up surrounded by will too. And if you have a group of loving caring people around you doing nice deeds. For the community and eachother. Then you will have positive outcomes and feel accepted and loved.
So how is that God?
Why would he wait/not want to show himself to somebody looking? Maybe I'm just to greedy with my own time. But I don't want to chase a conspiracy either.
Why do we even have to search for him? Why can't we just live a good lifestyle. Be kind to one in other and cherish nature and life for what it's for?
I'm a mess. Hahahaha

I really love this message, does anyone know the music in this video?

Someone had to pray about the hotdog. 20X stronger than any drugs. This is the same feeling I had when I was 15 attending a youth camp. At a young age I've been involve in gang and serious drug addiction. I remember we don't have light in our house that time coz our life is hard, I'm in my room high with drugs, all darkness around me. Im thinking to end my life.
But when I return back to church my first time again is youth camp. This kids like me are so happy without drugs. I attended seminary after that. Institute. 100 of fasting in my life I did literally almost everyweek to overcome addiction. I served a mission and now I'm married in the temple. The Savior can save us from our darkest life. He's my Deliverer out of darkness to light. I know He is real.

I am Muslim, and I worship Allah.

I love this story. I've seen it many times. It was on our Institute assignment for BYU Pathway this week. I was so touched this time, so deeply touched. So grateful for all the events that led up to his conversion. God puts people in our lives at the right time, there are no coincidences. We all wait on the Lord for something. I love this story because is shows that things take time. We are never forgotten or forsaken. Never never never give up, there is so much hope and happiness up ahead.

I was sobbing the whole time. This is true.

I think we all have some Fair share of having a fake faith when our lives are all okay we are at the 'peak' at high with temporal things and these moments are the evil Ways that we feel we dont need GOD anymore we dont ask and seek bec everything is under our control and we have it all we easily forget GODs graces thta is different from worldy graces. Or if we have more crosses that we can bear we all get angry at GOD for sending all of those our ways and we feel empty 'low' 'hopeless' and unfair we dont want GOD in our lives as he cant do anything for us. On our high and low times or at par we need to call on God all The time

All of us have the pitfall of dark. Had testimonies of rafael nadal great tennis player who aalso fell he doesnt believe in GOD and others like Manny Pacquiao also into drugs before but he never mentions his riches tht changed him it is knowing God that he praises.
Yes we were saved by Jesus and hallelujah for mercy but always we also take to heart guard our hearts and soul as evil is always always tempting with vwry goodthings even if we aalready accepted Christ in us.... We surround Ourselves with people who also. Is a believer that f God so that they can help lift us in this journey and aim for true repentance never to repeat our sins again, however narrow it is that gate to the heavens, we keep our eyes focused on GOD and change our ways to choose to live in Christ in this journey or all is in vain and we nail Christ on the cross over and over again if we never have a change of heart and grow in love amd not in offense of one another. Whatever you do unto Christ brethen you do unto Him. All the scriptures ways is all about love and never competition and offenses. Because our treasures in God's Kingdom as promised is eternal compare to the treasures we will reap here in our temporal world.

Man, this video always has me feel like I’m not alone. Like I’m not just walking through a series of challenges by myself and someone keeping tally of what I do right and wrong. Rather like God is on my side working with me. Saw this for the first time years ago and I still feel the same every time I watch it.

I know that God is real, and that He really loves each of us. He won't ever force us to believe, and follow Him, but all the complexities in His marvelous creations, from a single celled organism, to us, testify of that love.
