that answered my question. my wife just bought one of these at a sale shop. there was no instructions, but i made an awesome pot of rice last night with it anyway. I am now making some soup. and wanted to make sure I was doing everything right. thanks.

Should it release steam and make noise while it is pressure cooking? Mine does, but someone told me it shouldn't be doing that. It seems to cook fine, but sure does release a lot of steam and noise the entire time it is pressure cooking.

I see from reading these comments that my problems with the device are not unusual. I REALLY regret having purchased it (at twice the price of an Instant Pot), but I've had it about a year now, so there's no way to send it back and be rid of it. I would never, never recommend this product to anyone.

My experience with this device has been very unsatisfactory. One time, it, apparently, didn't regulate itself, and it, literally, "boiled out" ALL liquid and nearly burned the meat. Tonight, it simply wouldn't start cooking at all. If I could get rid of it and have an Instant Pot, I'd do it as soon as possible; I know no one who has had problems with an Instant Pot, and I've had nothing but problems.

I have purchased 2 of these and experienced the same problem twice now. following instructions as seen in this video, I have attempted to cook white as the simplest use of the pot. with both pots, the pressure would build and them release before reaching full pressure which would trigger the electric keypad (I imagine) to have the indicators turn solid red and the timer begin to countdown. I also first read all the instructions and duly checked the pot before starting this procedure. I am an extremely frustrated and unhappy customer as it is near impossible to get hold of FAGOR customer service without delegating 1/2 the morning to waiting for mountain time, then to be told that this is the wrong customer service site, try another number. any ideas on what is going wrong with the pot and/or process?

How do I turn this device to close? It won't close. Must I go to the gym and work out? Am I not strong enough? It doesn't seem to close. I put it in the 10 o clock position, but it won't close

Thank you. My dad bought a 4 quart Fagor multi cooker and we haven't used it yet because the written instructions are confusing and in too small of print for my dad to see. The pressure cooker we bought a few months ago has just been setting on the counter top during that time because neither one of use knew how to use it.

How do you use the steamer basket and steam function? I searched everywhere and cant find instructions.

Thank you. I just learned why my food, when slow cooked, is over cooked. It's because I did not know that I could switch from high to low by pressing once or twice. I would just hit slow cook and select the time. OMG! I cannot wait to redo some recipes. This is my second one because the first one just quit powering up. I read reviews and a few people had this issue. I have the 8 qt.
