ROY Orbison ..... EVERGREEN ....a Beautiful Love Song

I am 75 and have loved his music and voice since I first heard "Crying". His songs still make the hair rise on my arms, my eyes well up and put a lump in my throat. I'll never forget that sad morning my wife told me she heard on the news that he had died. Greatest rock singer of all time.

I would love to hear Everygreen by Roy Orbison. My father sang this song at my wedding. My father passed away 20 years ago unfortunately, I would love to hear it again though to remember how beautiful of a song it is.

This was played at our wedding in 1974. I had forgotten who sang it and have searched for it for many years. While listening to the 1960 oldies on the radio tonight the played Roy Orbison singing "Running Scared". The announcer that on the flip side of the record was "Evergreen". What a thrill when I googled it and found it was in fact the song from our wedding! This will be played when we renew our wedding vows at our 50th anniversary in 2 1/2 years. 😄😍

I am a long-time fan of Roy Orbison, dating back to his "Monument Period" in the '60s. I had never heard this song before and cannot imagine another performer singing it like this, no-one capable of matching Roy's almost other worldly voice. Those of us who are fortunate enough to be with the love of their lives, this is a fitting tribute.
