First Contact: the Viking vs. Native American Battles

Something if off about the viking exposure in north america. Why did the local population seem to not spread old world diseases to the rest of the americas. I am concerned that we are being misled either about the devistation from spanish disease or that the vikings interacted at all.

It seems that the poor lonely Native Americans were far more formidable than even the Europeans. Europeans were considered to have had more advantage and intelligence but it doesn't seem so. Do love history. I'm almost old enough to be part of it LOL
