DoW 3 was a disgrace

This looks horrible, lol omg. what happened to the franchise? First we get an amazing compilation of great titles... then we get DoW2 which copied and pasted Company of Heroes game play, which was still kinda decent.... now... idk what the hell this is... my heart hurts.

, 1) атмосфера боя убита полностью , есть войска как мусоры и герои с титанами что все рашают , в dow 1 и dow 2 простые воины могли количеством запушить супер юнита

2) сам дизайн войск , несуразно выглядит обычные воины это бьет по атмосферы
3) анимация движения , стана ударов , ЭТО ЧТО ЗА ИГРУШКИ ,движение как у кукол но не как у плоти и стальных машин , что относиться и к зданиям , это апофиозм идиотии , в первом дове у орков двигались турели на зданиях и все , к чему это движение здание ????

4 ) анимация стрельбы , ведеться мимо , без каких либо отражений что должно быть в современной ааа игре !!!!
! 5 )добивания , или фаталити как угодно это просто смех !!!! , те кто играл в dow 1 согласяться
6 ) укрытия как в dow , почему бы не взять их , больше тактического умения надо
7)ресурсы , это полный аут , полное несостоятельное для ртс игры это система ресурсов
Все в купе для меня , человека что любит первую и вторую часть скажу честно
Это было целеноправленно уничтожение серии dawn of war , почему?
Подумайте сами первая часть принесла большие леньги почему не продолжить развивать можно было как в comand and conquer сделать у них принцип один года разные и графика вот золотой стимул , да развиваться надо но это уже не ртс в ее понимании

Why do games go backwards in abilities from older games, this is smaller scale and less dynamic combat that dawn of war 1. Dawn of war should have gone the opposite way with a greater scale and bigger battles and more realistic fighting. But games always go for more arcade smaller scale bullshit and its stupid. Same thing with Total war with smaller scale and less in-depth battle dynamics. Less realistic and no focus on larger scale.
Dawn of War 1 > DoW 2 or 3
Total War Medieval > Any modern TW
Star Craft 1 > Star Craft 2 or 3

they make the units way less impactful feeling and make everything so arcade i hate it.

IIRC Blizzard were supposed to create Warhammer, but for some reason ended up going their own way creating Starcraft, but clearly Starcraft's Terrans had a lot of the elements of Warcraft's marines. So I guess it's fitting that Warhammer have finally joined it's RTS realm. Now I think I'll consider playing Warhammer as RTS only (I was too cool to play that table-top anorak style version of the game which was it's origins).

Really, this looks like a cross of Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2. I think Blizzard would be flattered. I'd certainly play this. - Someone was concerned about units? IIRC Starcraft with early 00's computers could support 1600 units without slowdown (8x200). Starcraft 2 on an average computer today can easily support 1000+ units without slowdown. A lot of the actual logic for processing units would not have changed much since the early RTS iterations (Warcraft 1/2/Starcraft), it's just the visual presentation of the units that are currently visible on screen. So computers today should be able to handle anything from 10-1000x as many units (especially if they're spread out and only interacting with a subset of the units). Which RTS games today have a high unit count?

The next step is to move this to VR. These RTS games would work amazingly in VR (see 'Mini Motor Racing' to see how well the 3rd person/isometric style game ports to VR).

Dawn of War dark crusade was the last and best release. I was hoping it would evolve to total warhammer style of campaign. Thank god we have total warhammer. No guns and cannons but swords and arrows and mythical beast are pretty fun.

This looks kinda lame. As a long time fan of the series I feel like the graphics and art direction are worse than the originals 😂 looks janky. Who knows maybe it will be awesome gameplay

I feel like with modern PCs we have the ability to make an RTS that actually captures the scale of 40k but they still decide to limit the scale with silly limitations that make it just another run of the mill game. I want a 40k game where I can command a thousand guardsmen with hundreds of space marines and dozens of tanks and dreadnaughts and titans and all that in big battles that we read about in the books all the time.
