excellent tunability something I had to previously go to a carb builder to get. Looks like a lot of tricks from brasswell and BLP
ОтветитьIt's a Holleybrock... 😀
ОтветитьLooks like edelbrock took a page out of the Chinese handbook. Just copy Holley carbs.
ОтветитьOk Edelbrock, you've got my attention 🧐
ОтветитьLooks great, but most people including Racers, can’t adjust a regular Holley correctly!
Wait until they start monkeying with this piece! Lol
What is pricing. And can they be made blow thru?
ОтветитьAtta boy!
ОтветитьI think the only thing not built into this from the start was capabilities for blow thru applications. But wow I can’t wait to see how this does on independent dyno testing. What’s the price point on this?
ОтветитьWill there be kits to convert it to blow through?
Ответитьwow at first i thought it was a ripoff Holley and it kinda is but this looks really nice. this is basically a modified Holley with all the tricks you would have to buy separately but with the Eddy its standard. if you really know how to tune a carb this is a one stop shop purchase. the fact that you can change Boosters on the fly without sending it to a carb specialist because of the required tools to press them in and out properly, this makes it more user friendly than the Holley. They really did their homework on this and im waiting for it to come available so i can by one for my BBC. the ONE thing i wish they would have redesigned is the way jets have to be changed, the need to take off the fuel bowl and swap jets with the risk of leaks is not only a pain in the ass but can be a danger at the track when making changes. Maybe drill 2 holes in the fuel bowl with plugs so you can stick a jet tool with a magnet inside without removing the bowls and breaking seals???? but I this is still a nice product and cant wait for mine.
And for the people asking about Blow through Applications yes this will work you just need to make sure the jets and bleeds are calibrated correctly and add vent tube extensions to the top tubes and you can run boost. Thats all that really separates a standard race Holley from a blow through. You can even run this on Alky if you want to do the math and make custom bleeds and jets.
The guys from Two Lane Blacktop would love this carb, they were always changing jets.
ОтветитьNeed to pull the bowls for jetting still…are parts interchangeable with a holley? AND where is it made???
ОтветитьAmazing carburetors great for any build that you do plan on driving on the street and drag racing on the weekends.
ОтветитьEldabrock been beating Holley for ever now they really just knocked it out of the park awesome carb I need one
ОтветитьLooks interesting, hopefully get to try one out someday.
ОтветитьMan, I Wonder who invented the 4150 and already has used most of these features… Hmmmmm
ОтветитьWe are excited for these!
ОтветитьSo edelbrock copies holly. Hmmmm wonder how holly feels about that
ОтветитьWill there be a USCG approved marine version?
ОтветитьAny plans to add a vacuum secondary version?
Ответить🤍🏈✨
ОтветитьExtra height only thing for me not much room with nitrous plate and air cleaner! Will buy one for my other car! Lots of cool things ✅
Ответитьoh wow I must have one or two
ОтветитьCan you blow-thru this carb?
ОтветитьUncle Tony's Garage likes it
ОтветитьI'm looking forward to trying one of these out on my 390.
Ответитьcommented & liked & subscribed. awesome new technology for carbs. lots of older stuff is not getting the tech updates. great job. 👍 what about ignition? any ideas?
ОтветитьToo funny, there's more tuning than you can shake a stick at.
ОтветитьPeople are going to be in more trouble trying to tune it than you can shake a stick at.
ОтветитьOkey shit... Iam going EFI... Iam going to be an old broke man before that carburator Will be jettet right on whatever i build, Jesus christ thats alot of jets.
ОтветитьGood job Edelbrock. Filling in the void that will be left when Holley goes full EFI.
ОтветитьWhere the hell can I buy one ?!
ОтветитьI assume (hope) it's made in the USA?
ОтветитьI'd love to try one of these.
ОтветитьSo is there a tuning class. E4150-101?
ОтветитьNoice!
ОтветитьAfter playing with old school double pumpers on a tunnel ram and street driving it, I see so much about these that are just awesome. With a O2 sensor and some thinking involved, these are going to be unbeatable. I am tickled I haven't bought a Carburetor for my simple old school dual point big cammed 460 project as they just made the sale.
ОтветитьWhen can they be bought and where
ОтветитьSo you just copied a holley carburetor?time to hire someone who can come up with a new carburetor not just copy another piece and say that you have improved it
ОтветитьWow nice
ОтветитьLol yey.. Edelbrock finally gets complicated..lol
ОтветитьThe way the venturies are wide like a salad bowl I'm willing to bet the CFM ratings are actually closer to advertised.
ОтветитьI just picked up a new 1307 (750). Very nice carb, Very smooth power compared to the double-pumper its replacing, I attribute that to the very nicely done Annular Boosters. The only thing that was way off was the transition, it went from idle 13.0AFR to 15AFR, causing the motor to cough and stumble until the primary booster came in. I had to change the idle bleed from a 70 all the way down to a 42. I also tried a 36 IFR (from the stock 31), which basically had the same affect with the standard 70 idle bleed jet. I also changed the standard 4.5 Power Valve to a 8.5. The engine (445 Ford FE Stroker, Edelbrock Al Heads, RPM Performer, Comp Cam (230/[email protected], .530 lift) pulls clean and hard thru the power band at 12.5AFR, but at light load (cruise) it is pig rich at 10.5. I'm not sure what dial to turn to lean 'cruise' out? I've called Edelbrock Support twice with them telling me they have no literature on these carbs, so they have no idea what to do. This is pretty concerning and disappointing. Edelbrock? Anyone who has knowledge? Advise would be greatly appreciated.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SO MUCH!!! THIS CARB HAS ALL THE BASIS COVERED!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
ОтветитьJimminy, that's a lot of fricken jets!
ОтветитьAlso 2ndary optional Linkages “”
ОтветитьIs edelbrock going to come out with this carb with electric choke
ОтветитьIts just a Holley copy
ОтветитьOk, now i want a 4500 series design
ОтветитьLike was already commented there a lot of jets.....as cool as the carb is I'm a little concerned if or how much the carb has to be tuned for mild build street use....aka the 650 on a 428 Ford.....simple adjustments no big deal but would or could these adjustments open sorta Pandora's box to all those jet adjustments.....
