To be fair, I think Ann’s babysitting encouraged Andy to stay as a baby. Treat your kids as adults if you want them to grow.

Why would she want to bring up a child by herself? That is so selfish, not progressive. If she can't even have a successful relationship with an adult, she has no business making a child suffer the same fate. Single women making babies are the worst, most selfish people around.

Crazy how this show has some of the most beautiful and incredibly funny women ever! Rashida is just amazing in this role!

Newcomer to Parks and Recreation. I enjoy it. But I am very uncomfortable the way that Seasons 3-7 ghosted Paul Schneider. Not cool. In fact, it's the elephant in the room that undoes a lot of the writing and intent. Bad move. Creepy, in fact. I don't care if there were problems on the set (were there? or was it just an unhappy actor?) It's from the playbook of Danny Thomas writing off Jean Hagen (his first wife on the show, an Emmy-winning performance) as a dead character and then never mentioning her again, all from star ego. It doesn't represent the show well: it's a bad taste that never goes away. Add to that April's openly sociopath character and the unfunny, endless bullying of Jerry, and you have a show mottled with great comedy and truly awful script and character descriptions, all wrapped up and presented as heart-warming. Which, yes, it is, sometimes, and yet, it's heartwarming with the taste of rusted metal in your mouth. I'm beginning to believe that the meanness was always the point.

The thing I found most fascinating about this show, is the female characters are basically my wife divided up into different people. And the giys are all me divided up into different people.
