It's fun seeing people getting absolutely lit to songs I hear bout every other day. As corny as reaction videos can be, it's ones like these to re-spark your interest into the music

I'm amazed none of these people know it's a cover of a Ledbelly song...but I do love the Ram Jam version.

What a tune that puts a smile and a spring into your steps!! But civil rights wanted to keep racism alive. And complained about a bit of joy? Look at the people laughing and moving to this Energy. Stay Strong Decent People. Cheer's 🇬🇧

This song was not an original by these guys. This song was popular with different bands and groups. But what they would do is the blackberry part. Well different singers would make up verses. This was the birth of such things as a rap. This and another form which was the story telling at the early 60s. The hoot nannies believe it or not, they are age. Parent of your popular black rap music. Nadal goes back to the black face, southern music of the turn of the eighteenth Century. I know you don't agree but now I open the app door you will see what I'm talking about.

I worked with the base player of this band at a rubber manufacturing plant he's a chemist now. Tom Kurts and unfortunately they list the rights to the song. This was originally a song done by a all black chain gang in prison in the 30s.

Just so you know Black Betty was a song saying very slow by black Americans I think in the 19 teens or 20s or sung very soulful on a chain gang 2 story

This is a cover / remix ..the original came out in 1933.
From Wikipedia: "The song was first recorded in the field by US musicologists John and Alan Lomax in December 1933, performed a cappella by the convict James "Iron Head" Baker and a group at Central State Farm, Sugar Land, Texas (a State prison farm). Baker was 63 years old at the time of the recording.". Search for James Iron Head Baker - Black Betty (1933) if you want to hear the original.

This is my music y'all!! What I come up on. I love it! It makes you move! It reminds me of the movie HOME. You know when O is in the car and listens to little girls music and can't help but move and gets so upset he jumps in the ocean. Lol. This song breaks into 3 different jam out tunes in one. Love it.
