There is an editing error with the placement of the 'difficulty 5' popup, sorry about that! ....And yeah I did include the 7 degree thing multiple times, the game crashed after the first and I had to redo some stuff then used the footage anyway.. then forgot I said it again.. I'm very tired.

I would kind of like to see Lath come back to this concept later, when the spawn rate isn't throwing five enemies back to back with no time to build.
ОтветитьHonestly, I would have been fine with a few non-fire weapons, or at least letting things like the railgun have multiple damage types, just because part of the fire mechanics is making other weapons better. Seeing weapons that struggle versus armor being boosted would have been cool. Still a great video.
Ответить1: How the hell do you get the hovering so stable, I've been gone for a while and just got back into it thanks to you reigniting (pun intended) the joy of FtD. But hovers keep bouncing up and down for me.
2: Single barrel railgun shotgun? How on earth? Last I played if you wanted shotgun you had to do multibarrel on the APS
I’ve come to realize that this game is something for me to watch and not play. I’m just too impatient and scatterbrained to put it all together in a way that works and looks nice. Maybe I should work on that.
In the mean time, I’ll be watching your videos. Can’t wait for more of this fire.
Also, don’t feel like you’re cheating by going and inspecting the damage you’ve dealt to the enemy. That’s part of the game, and part of the satisfaction. People really wanna see those close ups of just how brutal your weapons are. Basically, always take a second to stop and enjoy the carnage.

ОтветитьI wonder if you can have some torpedoes or advanced cannons with excessive oxidizer fuel to add extra oxygen to existing fires so you can be effective against low sitting boats and subs.
That last enemy you died to looked to be sitting very low in the water so my thoughts are that the fire went out so quickly simply by being doused by submerging.

ОтветитьI've made this suggestion a few times now, but here's hoping this is the time you notice it 😂
I'd love to see a run where you use exactly one of each type of weapon. Maybe start with one of your choice, then add a new one with each portal you enter so that you can't focus on making one or two uber-powerful and neglecting the others. In the later levels you'd have to use your best judgement to maintain balance between all the weapons, but I think it could still be really interesting.
Another idea that I came up with while watching one of your recent videos: A one shot wonder-craft. You often limit how many resources you gather in order to not become overpowered early on. I'd like to see a run where you lean into the OP potential and design a craft that has only alpha strike weapons, no rapid fire, no long barrages, the challenge is to kill every vessel you encounter with just one volley. You could pick whatever weapons you want to use and no limit on how many, but whatever you come up with has to fire slow enough that you can't fire more than one broadside per minute. That also means no point defense, or rather, only a very ineffective point defense because it will only fire one shot. Obviously the game can be a bit unpredictable, so I'd rule that if you cut an enemy in half and/or knock out its combat ability with one hit, but it is technically still online, you can count that as a kill for the purposes of the challenge.
The pyromaniac in me is very happy watching this, you gave fire a good name here
I’ve said it before but a “dense” challenge run could be fun. Very high cost with very low volume. Definitely a challenge given your preference for lots of armor

Ответитьthey really need to fix the ai abit as its way to dam accurate at times when its not one of your ships
( i spawned in one of my rail gun forts as the deepwater guard to test flames on as it was a super armored fort only for me not to get a chance sense the kept nocking off my test turret )
fun fact when its my ship the ai can't hit targets well past 2000 meters sense it has two rail guns a rapid fire one and a slow fire one that hits like a truck but it can't hit things well compared to how the enemy ai can
like it feels unfair how better the enemy ai is ))

ОтветитьMy crazy idea is giving a sub a few flamers to degrade armour values, and main damage with a plasma blade just for the stupidity
ОтветитьA mix of incendiary and other exotic ammo types would be interesting to see. Like a taste the rainbow sort of advanced cannon might be fun. Although some of the huge cruise missilles loaded with smaller incendiary missles would be a sight to behold. I'm still holding out on Lath trying out a warp drive capable melee craft.
