It's just nice to see heroes of your time being a kid turn out to be good people in real life. I have other sides of the "screw job" , I think what his idea was a prefect fix that Brett would have ok with and I know from watching that era the fans would have been happy with that happening as well.

I love the detail of Taker taking Shawn aside and sitting next to him. That speaks so highly of this man's character and diplomacy. He knew that Shawn could escalate an already hostile situation even further so he not only removed him from the situation, he sat next to him to both silence him AND protect him should something go badly.

The screw job should never have happened. Brett should have went to WCW as WWE champion.

Sorry Taker but no. According to Jim Cornette, they pitched substituting Shawn Michaels for someone else and both Shawn and Bret shot it down. Vince McMahon who could sell sand to Saudia Arabria could not talk either of those guys into a finish. Plus the match had been advertised to death so there was no way they could put someone else in without having issues.
