I bought the iphone when it came out and there was no other touch screen phone with a color screen. It was somewhat revolutionary. You could go on the web while out and about anywhere with it and that was a big deal. I remember people wanting to see it with extreme curiosity. That was short-lived, but exciting at the time. You didn't need a separate mp3 player and a phone anymore. It combined both.
