Your videos amplified my understanding of the conflict in the Korean peninsula. A lot of the videos out there are very one sided and paint DPRK as an irrational nuclear state. The ROK is not innocent on any of the occurrences of the last eighty years.

You said that 'they are just demanding the right to buy the land'. The funny thing is, the 'right' you mentioned could make the residents so rich that they would become newly minted capitalist elites. The problem is they were already rich at the point of your report. The 231 landowners had already received 124billion KRW in total in reparation, 4.4billion KRW each, which is much higher than lifetime income of average Korean household. Do you think relations with SK and NK will get better when the opposition wins the upcoming election in SK since his party wants too return to the sunshine policy. The candidate with most likely chance to win recently said relations with NK is hostile but he at least says he wants to balance ties with China and US and stay out of Taiwan contingency.
