I just dont like anytype export to PDF option, it makes it fully white and notes kind of unindeted u can say
ОтветитьNobody has left obsidian and nobody will. It’s the best product right now . Totally in love with it.
ОтветитьNotebook and Pen are also fine!
ОтветитьEwww, could based ????
ОтветитьI'm tired of titles like this, "why people be leaving this for that"
Want to make a video about a new app, sure go ahead. But to put it in this way just feels old and lame to me.
"Capacities - where obsidian and notion meet"
A title or approach like this wouldn't hurt, would it?
The app it's interesting, but the title it's kind a "bait", it's more than a pay promotion of the app devs, in what study or poll it's based the "affirmation" or ask the "question" of "people leaving obsidian"
ОтветитьCapacities is an alternative to Notion for personal knowledge management. People started using Obsidian because of the desire for data ownership so I don't think many people are switching just because a new rival app has launched. I use Obsidian for work. But as a PKM tool or second brain, I try and stay away from folder structures. The only thing that Capacities offers that Obsidian does not is the ability to forward media and text via WhatsApp/Telegram or Email to your second brain. Which is interesting because WhatsApp is end to end encrypted but Capacities is not?! However, when Capacities first launched there were many times I could not access my data due to maintenance. It is more stable now, however the fear that I may not have access to my data even with having internet will limit me on how I use Capacities. At present you can only use the mobile app of Capacities when you pay for the Believers subscription which is a real disappointment for a note taking app. However, a workaround to a lack of a mobile app on the free plan is to make use of WhatsApp. I actually looked in to Capacities as an Evernote alternative due to Evernote's price increase. In comparison to Notion I like Capacities as it provides more structure for your content and the aesthetics of Capacities is quite stunning. The calendar/daily notes timeline is what has always been missing in Notion.
ОтветитьPlease tell me the best Android app for my second brain
ОтветитьData entry friction is much higher for Capacities (which I love) than Obsidian. Obsidian is much better in allowing you to use a keyboard-focused workflow with customizable shortcuts for triggering actions (e.g., Specific note types and which folder they are created in). In that respect, I feel Obsidian remains the better overall app.
ОтветитьDid I see your plans about visiting Singapore?
ОтветитьI like Shu introduce me much tools before, but seem too much ads now that I dont think people leave obsidian and logseq as that is most useful
ОтветитьFirstly, I use obsidian, because it's offline and doesn’t require me to sign in to any account. That means, the data stays where I want it.
Secondly, if I want to back it up, I can do that by creating a private git repository and use a custom windows .bat file to automatically backup everything.

Ответитьwhat is the privacy aspect? are the notes encrypted, or does Capacities team have access to my data?
ОтветитьOne Chinese folk wisdom says: -If there is no advertising in the video, then this video is the advertising itself. (the text was translated using Google translator)
ОтветитьI absolutely hate the fact that these apps are made using web technology. They're so demanding and consume all RAM. There's a code editor called Lite Xl which is made in Lua, It runs like butter on the oldest hardware and it looks so good and modern. Why the hell is everyone using JS with Electron????
ОтветитьI use both Logseq and Capacities for different purposes. Capacities is a beautiful and powerful program for those who are not working with top secret materials.
ОтветитьIt's cool but obsidian is my way to go. No app or tool will make you more productive. It's always just a tool so it depend which tool is easy to use and fit your demands.
ОтветитьSo you say people are leaving Obsidian and the only reason you can give is that they may spend too much time customising it and not doing work. Are you just making this stuff up? Are you getting paid by Capacities to say this?
Nobody is leaving Obsidian for this cloud-based paid product, and this is clear from the comments left by other viewers.
Just be honest and say that you’re trying to promote this app. It offers no advantages when compared to Obsidian and it’s not even free. You think 120$ per year is really attractive when compared to a free app? You’re nuts.
ОтветитьNo people are not leaving Obsidian for this.
This is not even remotely comparable to obsidian.
I am not switching apps unless I own my data!
Please focus on privacy first during the presentation and price. Otherwise it will waste our time. All you have to do is taste the privacy into AI summarizer and tell the public how lame they copy all your data.
ОтветитьIt doesn't have mobile app yet, so no.
ОтветитьHow does this compare to Amplenote for you? It seems similar.
ОтветитьAs many other commenters have already pointed out
There's no way Obsidian people like me would leave Obsidian to this Capacities app
Obsidian have many advantages and features out of all the other note taking apps key important one is the private data ownership of data with key features from many popular note taking apps RoamResearch (Second brain of linking notes) to Notions integrated features of All in one note taking that's the reason why Obsidian started to begin with
Capacities entire design language from the start is made for the Apple people aka people who have preference of aesthetical simplicity which is seen on several of your video chapters (Graph view, Page Layout, Gallery and Table views etc) over functional complexity and these are entirely two different approach and target for app user customers not even the same
Even the paid model is a exact copy of Apple centric app AI Assistant and AI chat which can be used freely if you know how to sort out the hugging face extension in Obsidian
Video title is very click baity with no reason to even exist cuz the target user of Obsidian and this app Capacities are very different even if they look similar in a glance
If vid was titled new simplified obsidian or obsidian alternative both neutral titles would be much better than this type of click baits also shows need further research or writing change from the creator
Everyone just copying obsidian and notion lol
Ответитьhaha nope
ОтветитьObsidian is highly customisable yes, but out of the box it's simple and easy to use.
ОтветитьDislike this video and never trust what he say 😂
ОтветитьNope, capacities did not replace Obsidian for me.
Ответитьheard something costs 10 dollar a month - skip
obsidian one love
Why are u deceiving viewers? They are not the same. You are better off comparing this to notion.
ОтветитьI'm in love with Capacities. So simple to learn, Tags and Collections are superb. Searching for items is robust. Works well on desktop and IOS. This app is relatively new and the designers are very responsive.
ОтветитьThe application is very nice and seems comfortable? Yes, can it even be considered better than notion in many aspects? Surely yes, and I think it is an improvement or a big leap for Notion users, but as has been commented several times here, it is not for Obsidian users.
because? very easy first because what it provides is not that much, since almost everything that is special can be achieved with plugins in obsidian although not with the same quality and fluidity ok it provides that, now the logical question would be to see if what it provides more... makes up for what is lost and the answer is clear, it doesn't make up for it.
Obsidian provides a set of tools that, although it has the bad part that it is a "build it yourself", in return covers almost all the needs, and secondly, although it is perhaps the most important part, that information belongs to you, the You can save wherever you want, access from wherever you want, and you don't need to be connected, it would be unthinkable to consider the idea of a second brain that stops working when I don't have internet. For this reason, it is not valid as a knowledge management tool, only as a productivity, study tool... to organize your day, and yes, as I say, it may be better than notion, but it is nothing more than a non-vital information manager and short term
Imagine leaving obsidian or any type of local based note taking app to use a pwa app.
ОтветитьSemi-clickbait.
Ответить123 comments to 124. XD
ОтветитьWhy is every tool you propose a paid tool? 👎
ОтветитьLots of salt in the comments lol
ОтветитьThey even have any lifetime early price, disgusting
ОтветитьNo Linux client, i skip
ОтветитьObsidian is better than Capacities.
ОтветитьSo done with the click bait shit. As though people are leaving Obsidian in hoards.
ОтветитьI like this app -- but I think in the end, it's a funnel towards a paid app. Obsidian splits the difference where it offers much of the core functionality for free and any of the advanced sync apps are available for a modest price. I believe that Obsidian -- more specifically the Obsidian developer community will walk anyt advantages this app offers down in short order.
ОтветитьI saw comments about how Obsidian fans flatly rejected that Obsidian which already SUCKS was completely abandoned. The Obsidian jihadists are truly fanatical! HA HA HA HA
ОтветитьThis does not offer much more than Obsidian, and is not even local first.
ОтветитьHere we go again. He just wants views.
Ответить
