With Casting of Frank Stone, I think the entity started consuming the world when Sam killed Frank Stone. That event lead to an overlap and stayed like that until Chris triggers Frank to return. I don’t think the combining of films and a blood sacrifice was needed to summon the entity. I think the entity does what it does best and messes with everyone to maximize what it can get from people/realm. And just because it doesn’t get everything it wants, doesn’t mean there aren’t endless parallel universes it can continue to consume as well.

I also wonder if once one parallel universe is doomed, they all are to the same fate? Like does it make it easier for the entity to slip into the realm? Or does the entity being summoned cause an overlap into the parallels causing absolute moments in every reality? There’s so much to theories with the lore of dbd!

I already knew about the OSS is based on the SCP foundation connection. But I don’t know about the fact that the theater specifically plays the lost film from The Casting of Frank Stone

so does this mean Mikaela and Sable were in just a different timeline from the 80's characters in TCoFS. Meaning M and S saw Murder Mill? M disappearing on stage and Sable being taken after seeing the movie during her search for M.

The unknown remembering the screening could be tied to the fact that it looks eerily like Dwight, and in the casting of frank stone there’s that note in the kidnapping cell where it talks about how “Dwight” was being held captive, could they be one in the same ??

You forgot to mention as well that when Stan and Linda are talking in the reliquary where she learns that Stan is a poser, he tells Linda he loves movies by Cliff Barra. Cliff Barra is a character from Tome 10 of the archives in DBD, who was a film maker who was in a gay relationship with his prop and stage designer, Alex. Alex got taken by the Entity and Cliff went in after him. He saved Alex, but not before an unknown killer captured Cliff and turned him into a killer instead. Alex is now a part of the House of Arkham, a group full of relatives of various survivors trying to save them from the Entity.
