Florio loves saying “But….but” 🤦🏼♂️
ОтветитьI hate to say this, but, now in hindsight the colts should probably have kept Manning and sold off the #1 pick instead of taking Luck. Who knew Manning had at least 2 more Superbowls in his arm. I’m glad he came to Denver however this is rarely discussed.
ОтветитьI see all the nice comments but this family seems to be a trainwreck. It was probably an accidental overdose. I just remember clips of his dad loaded and talking to reporters.
ОтветитьRIP Jim Irsay prayers to his family
ОтветитьHe was the rick James of the NFL. Rip jim
ОтветитьHunter S. Thompson is VERY dead. Read up on the specifics.
ОтветитьThat’s that’s sad. He looked 85 though…
ОтветитьR.I.P. Bob. 🧲🐎
Ответить65 feels so young…
ОтветитьESPN launched a smeer piece disquiesed as a memorial
ОтветитьIrsay was always generous to the poor and generous to charities.
Ответить65 is young. No amount of money can save you
ОтветитьI bet he took the vaccine
ОтветитьWhat will happen to all his sweet guitars? Legendary collection, including Jerry Garcia's Tiger and Rosebud.
ОтветитьThanks for being a real one and getting Snyder to sell the team ❤❤❤ rip Jim irsay
ОтветитьYou mean to tell me, you coudln't look up Hunter S....Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas...really?
ОтветитьUpper Quartile of the Upper Quartile!
ОтветитьConsider the irony that Mike Florio is unfamiliar with Hunter S. Thompson, the guy most associated with Gonzo Journalism.
ОтветитьIt's embarrassing that neither of these guys knew Hunter.... Fear and Loathing????
ОтветитьI was frustrated by Jim Irsay at times because he seemed to be at the mercy of his addictions. Take the Ryan Grigson era. I think Irsay held onto that idiot for far too long. However, he did shepherd the Colts through their most successful era. He was a warts and all person. He will be missed.
ОтветитьCorrect me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Florio absolutely trashed Irsay for years now?
ОтветитьHe bought one of David Gilmour's guitars at a charity auction for a then record near $4 million - along side another couple of his guitars - so if nothing else the man had taste.
ОтветитьThank Todd he lived long enough to see the Tush Push ban fail. So long...
Ответить😢wth
ОтветитьWAS HE IN MINNESOTA
ОтветитьChampion owner. He never got credit for that.
ОтветитьIt doesn't matter if you're a deadbeat drug addict, as long as you're a billionaire the media will say good things about you. Jim Irsay was such a genius for drafting the consensus #1 overall pick Peyton Manning who was the first generational prospect since John Elway.
ОтветитьI won’t remember he was a person, let alone where I was when he died.
ОтветитьSure, Irsay got Manning right but was very wrong with picking George. The colts also got next to nothing for Elway. Got to say though for the past 25 years Irsay was the best owner in the league.
ОтветитьWatch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for a movie about Hunter S Thompson. Quite an odd movie.
ОтветитьAlcohol killed Irsay
ОтветитьLimbaugh was criticizing the media and then the media went nuclear on him.
And of course Florio defends nepo babies with a big nepo baby cohost.
So We Ain’t mentioned that he was a Drug Head aka Car Full Of Cocaine as a NFL Owners?
ОтветитьDon’t recall Peyton/Leaf decision being that close despite the HST Letter but perhaps I’m wrong. Nice homage to Jim tho fellas, well done.
Any old school NFL fans who haven’t read it should do themselves a favor and google “Sins of the father: What Jim Irsay learned watching his dad cripple the Colts” Z Keefer - the athletic. It’s fun and fascinating and really captures both Irsay’s.
Little danny Snyder is the best thing to ever happen to dc
ОтветитьWould live to see Chris’s face when he googles Hunter S Thompson 😂
ОтветитьWould live to see Chris’s face when he googles Hunter S Thompson 😂
ОтветитьLike Elvis, he just ran out of gas. Flawed but owned his flaws, eccentric to the max, helpful to many but in the end just didn’t take very good care of himself.
ОтветитьWhoa… NFL GM at 25? ✊🏽 Respect
ОтветитьThat dude looked like he was 80
ОтветитьPillow case full of 💊 no jail time amazing how the war on drugs skipped white people presidents etc complexion for the connection I guess
ОтветитьEven as a periphery football fan, I was sad about his passing. The first time I heard an interview with him, he was authentic & funny. Your stories about the smoking booth in his suite made me laugh out loud. There is so much fakeness in the world, especially in the higher echelon, it's too bad that he left too young. RIP, Jim. Thanks for being you and only you.
ОтветитьI'm a Hoosier Fan of The Shoe Bleed white and blue!
Thanks for the kind words fellas 🙏
Jim's is a Indiana Legend!
Ответитьlong term coke abuse ruins the heart. also could have been an opiate OD
ОтветитьRIP.
ОтветитьWhen his players made it to the Hall of Fame. He would take them out to buy a gift of their choice. Realized he wasn't perfect early on. Just did the best he could do. He helped many he didn't meet and the ones he did.
Worth remembering.
Simms being a stoner and not knowing who Hunter S Thompson was is surprising lmao
ОтветитьJesus F'n Christ, Simms doesn't know who Hunter S. Thompson is. It's embarrassing.
