jeez i'm going to have to replay the game and then rewatch this
ОтветитьI have a suspicion we’ll get to see the water burial to get closure in part 3
ОтветитьReclamation would be a pretty good title...
ОтветитьCalling it now, Cloud is the one who killed Aerith. He was able to stop himself in OG. But in this timeline, he wasn't able to. You see flashes of blood on Aerith's hand/arm from Tifas point of view. Aerith was praying at the alter, if Cloud slashed downwards at her, her arms would be all messed up too.
In the OG timeline, Cloud immediately accepted Aeriths death. So why not this time? Why is he in such denial? Because he's the one that did it this time.
I have two possible explanations for the ending. One is more sinister and one is more hopeful. And imo I see evidence for both in the final CGI cutscene.
First things first. Aerith IS dead. Maybe we can bring her back in game three, maybe that is what Nomura talked about. But no matter, at the moment she is dead/in the lifestream. So Cloud absolutely did not save her, not in our nor any other reality. Sephiroth traversed the mulitverse and killed her in everyone.
So the more sinister interpretation is that the Aerith we see at the ending is another Jenova manipulation. Jenova is playing "god cop bad cop" with Cloud. Tauning him with Sephiroth and simultaniously making him even more vulnerable by showing him an Aerith that is alive and well only to break the illusion at a moment where it will absolutely destroy Cloud. And my evidence in the final scene would be that Aerith does not adress Cloud having the black materia or that she's dead or anything. She plays along with his fantasy and that to me is a sign that things are far worse than they look.
But there is also a more hopeful look. In the beginning of the game Cloud says that Sephiroth is "alive" and Aerith answers something like "not alive but AROUND". And now the exact same thing is true for her. She is dead, her body is gone, but she has become one with the lifestream and as such has gained immense power. You could say she is also "manipulating" Cloud but from a benevolent point. Her goal isn't to destroy him or the others but to save them and the planet. And so she's going to be talking to Cloud as a counter to Sephiroths manipulation. And my evidence for that would be her touching Red XIII and him recognizing her. Why would Jenova do that?
To me the story unfold kinda like this: Sephiroth and Aerith are battling in the life stream in Advent Children. The party beats him again. He finds out that he can manipulate fate so he travels back in time. Aerith is close behind, giving her past/ alternate self as much info as she can. Remake happens and Sephiroth identifies Aerith as "the real problem". But his solution is as flawed as it was in the OG. In the OG he thought that killing her would take her out of the equation but the opposite is true, she becomes more powerful that him. And in Rebirth he thinks "well its only because I havent killed ALL of you" and hunts her down in every reality. But it is the same mistake because while he's fucking up different worlds and gains power through their suffering he also grants more and more power to "Omni-Aerith". And ultimately I think this will be his downfall. He thinkgs Cloud is his trump card in winning but actually Cloud will be the key to his ultimate defeat. And ironically if he had just left Aerith alive and KEPT her alive she wouldn't have become so powerful.
So my prediction:
- Aerith is gonna stay dead BUT we are going to get her reunited with Zack and know that they find each other in the life stream
- Sephiroth/ Jenova will be gone
- I think the lifestream of the planet will change in a way that mako can no longer be used. So humanity is back to square one
I think Max's theory about Sepiroth being the "last" aerith we see is correct, but it's my understanding that there needs to be a mako infused test subject present to personify that vision. I may be wrong on that though, so I'd be curious to hear that explanation.
ОтветитьWe will see cloud from tactics.
ОтветитьAlso red dad cried could he still be alive?
ОтветитьI have kept this video in my watchlist for 4 months and now I have finally played Rebirth and it's time to watch it ^^
ОтветитьWho else stayed here for the entire video
Ответитьlol max just blatantly glazes anything with FF7 slapped on it, it’s so weak 😂😂😂😂 the Remake trilogy sucks pretty bad so far, this feels like hysterical cope
ОтветитьI recently did a second full playthrough (not including my hard mode run) and a lot of the quests I thought I would want to skip ended up being a lot of fun and the rewards made them more than worth it. Just an incredible game
ОтветитьWhat I've been comparing this games story too is Dragonball Z and even super in regards to this timeline stuff.
When you best the arbiters of fate and throw time into a tailspin, it's like when Future Trunks travels back in time to kill Frieza, give a warning and give Goku medicine. Only to find out Androids 17 and 18 aren't even active and there's 3 new androids 16, 19 and 20. It demonstrates how actions from one person in one timeline impact other parallel worlds.
This is the intervention I needed after going through the ending
ОтветитьEven in the original I think it's always been Jenova she basically thrives off of confusion in people I like to think of it as she can fill in the blanks if a person is in doubt of what happened in the past... the first major victim is Sephiroth because I think no one ever talked to him about his mother until Zack did in the nibelhiem reactor and renovation in the moment of doubt filled it in that she's his mother and he spends a few days in the basement what to us looks like him talking to himself but actually he's probably talking to jenova and she's embedded her plans into him but Cloud ultimately overpowered Sephiroth so jenova had to change her plans and register Cloud as a threat which fortunately for her immediately after that hojo puts her cells in Cloud and gives him mako poisoning turning him into a blank slate which makes him the perfect vessel for her while Sephiroth is frozen in solid mako in northern crater
ОтветитьAs soon as they brought up Glenn being Clouds dad, I died and thought of his line where he said his dad died in a war. That shits too funny n way random 🤣
ОтветитьI think it’s a bit of a reach to think the Aerith at the end is Jenova in disguise, HOWEVER I think that would be a fresh way to add drama and make Cloud’s perspective unreliable as Max said.
Rebirth already had Sephiroth trying to drive a wedge between Cloud and everyone else, mainly Tifa. However it didn’t quite work by the end. So what new tactic could he try? How about having Cloud get pissed off because everyone is acting like Aerith died when he CLEARLY saved her? That would give Cloud a reason to abandon them, or vice versa. Then shit hits the fan even more and Tifa finds him again to help reconstruct his memories like in OG, only now it holds more weight.
I played Rebirth for this moment!
ОтветитьI love hearing max talk ff7
ОтветитьDhut up
ОтветитьI beat this game last night. Was so happy to be done with this long ass experience. but this conversation makes me want to go back and see things again.
ОтветитьWhy do i keep waking up to this 😂
ОтветитьWhat I see so many people seem to either forget or ignore is that you also have the option of giving Barret the black material before going forward. It doesn’t mean anything specifically about red being manipulable.
ОтветитьI don't think there are any alternate timelines. Cloud is ruminating over the death of his friends, imagining what things would've been like if they hadn't died. And it's seeping into his reality.
ОтветитьFF7 Part 3 will be called FF7 Retribution
ОтветитьThe question nobody is asking is will we be able to revisit every location? Will the standard PS5 be able to handle part 3 as in being able to revisit every location like how we originally did in og FF7. We gotta visit Bone Village in order to be able to get the key to Sector 5 to Midgar.
ОтветитьI was and will always be obsessed with Queen’s Blood every time I replay the games. I absolutely loved it.
Ответить1st time i EVER streamed was on Twitch playing Warzone 1.
He was in my lobby and was one of the nicest / coolest players EVER.
I was new to streaming, i had no idea who he was at the time and i asked for permission to use his voice in a video 😂
The red pixels you see in Aerith’s eyes are just the reflection of the airplane bent by IOR (Index of Refraction) from the PBR material of the eye.
You can actually see it in two shots of her.
However the reason you can’t see it in the other shots of her talking to Cloud is likely because the out of frame objects behind Cloud were disabled to decrease render time
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this that sephiroth could actually be a good guy in all this n he knows the only way to stop janova is to be the guy making the hard decisions and in the end ur 3 person party will be cloud Zach n sephiroth to fight janova boom mic drop that'd be pretty sick
ОтветитьSephiroth: its not death, its a home coming
Aerith says at the end: "don't worry about me, it's like a second home
The hardest queens blood is gold saucer challenges
Ответитьloved this ! thanks guys. but... no crazy Angeal theories for part 3??? :)
ОтветитьWhat about... FF7 Remember(ance) ? I do like Damiani's pick too :)
ОтветитьWheres the pc version
ОтветитьReform is part 3 imo. The first two are two syllables and the "Re" sounds like "Ree." The third part will surely follow that pattern and to me, Reform makes the most sense.
ОтветитьIf we consider them trying to bring all the compilation together-
White and black whispers relate to lifestream white and lifestream black.
If Sephiroth is orchestrating the worst possible timeline and we realize we messed up, Zack may be what turns the tide similar to advent children (encouraging cloud to fight regardles of how bleak things seem).
Rememberance
Its like revengeance but lifestream-y
I have been waiting to watch this video. I finally beat rebirth 30 minutes ago. Lets go
ОтветитьG
ОтветитьVideo games
ОтветитьCosta del Sol....man!! After you beat Hojo's machine, the beach at Sunset is absolutely incredible!!
ОтветитьThe red pixel in Aeriths eye is probably a reflection of the bronco. It's red, and it's right in front of her face.
Ответить"As everyone knows already the white materia is powered by memories" I'm sorry what? How does the game explain this at all?
ОтветитьThoughts the knights of the round summon is going to be like reward from mini game like fort condor
Ответить
