firefox at least from my exp is way less bloated then chrome. especially on my super old and janky backup PC . been using it for 2 years now and its pretty smoooooth

Multi-Account Containers is one of the biggest reasons i use Firefox.
The new features seems like an improvement. I also hope Firefox finally understands that i don't want search engines like Amazon, Yahoo, or any of that crap enabled every time i start the browser.

Total Cookie Protection is not turned on by default. It has to be enabled by going into the protection settings on the browser. The user must then set Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection from standard to strict. And even then it does not do much. U can see how cookies are interact, use addon Lightbeam 3.0.

I just wish firefox would release more variety of products, I trust the company with privacy so I would maybe like to buy a firefox pro package which bundles services like vpn, encrypted email, sending temperory download link, browser with enhanced experience, a special router 🌚, static IP, dns, web watch (to keep track on content updates on a particular website), powerful downloader 🌚🌚, temperory mobile number, temperory email, temperory credit/debit card number etc....

These things seem very real that mozilla could work on and I would gladly pay for it and I am sure most Linux users will too 😃.

They could literally revamp their brand entirely as a 'privacy oriented' brand that sells you tools and services to keep control of your privacy.

They could consent users for collecting data about their hardware to optimize and priortise their app improvement for those devices only or if user doesn't wanna give it, they could just provide a textbox to fill for user to put some device name there.

im just hoping that librewolf will fork these new features as well. I can't consoom my nazi propaganda when the mozilla CEO starts censoring me. Im done with brave, uphold account is shit and it uses at least a gig of ram. Google will also start hindering for chromium based browser very soon.

@Mental Outlaw I like you constant keep up the great work. I was wonder is it possible to make a video about EncroChat. Because I think that there are many fishy things about that issue. The governments wants to scare us and let us know that they can decrypt anything, but heir laws and fight against good encrypted apps shows otherwise and their true colours. Many people also suspect that EncroChat is made by the governments themself.

Works pretty good with webrender enabled under Linux (think its enabled by default now).
Still plenty of room for improvements and I hope one day we can get vulkan compositors going for Linux and browsers, that will really help things along!

Firefox is not dead. You don't know how much effort the community is putting into this browser. FYI the Linux kernel also gets money from Google and other big tech companies as donations. So are you going to say Linux is dead too???

Hi, I am curious how this add-on to limit the max size/resolution of the page is called? If someone could please give me any pointer for this, I would be very thankful. Maybe there is something that has to be done within the "about:config"? However, I am unable to find correct config entry for this. Thank you in advance!

Firefox is leaking my internal network addresses to search engines - I have separate fields for address and search (option in settings) yet if firefox decides that "raspberrypi.localdomain" in address field might not be address it instantly does search instead of trying to open it...

I use firefox because it's not chrome. There is no other reason. Similarly i've been using linux mint ever since windows 10 came out because it's not windows 10, and no other reason.
Maybe i'm not a privacy god or sth, maybe i use outdated sudo instead of doas, but at least my bandwidth isn't bloated by microsoft updating at the most inconvinient time in the most unpleasant manner and telemetry data being sent somewhere. Also customizing is nice and during instalation linux mint asked me if i wanna encrypt my home folder or sth so i did that - but knowing life probably this was probably too easy to be a reliable encryption for anything more than my friend trying to access my data using a bootable usb or sth
