I.e 2 same automatic cars race- the winner is the one who accelerates first
Not the same thing with manuals, there is a skill in changing gears at the right time.

Get a fun manual car and normal automatic for your commutes / city driving. If you can afford ofc

If the gears can be changed from my button on my steering wheel, then I would buy a manual I'm not trying to take a hand off the wheel just to accelerate more

I don’t care for both. But I would recommend to teach manual to every new teen driver because they are more likely to go fast with nothing holding to tell them to drive a certain speed. With manual it forces you to be conscious of what speed you are driving and would help those young to be more careful with those speeds.

if you're buying a family car go for automatic and for fun weekend car go for manual

Opinions are like ass holes, everyone has one, I’ve driven both & I like Auto more, sure it’s faster, it’s also more convenient, you ain’t gotta worry bout burning a clutch each time you go out, but that’s neither here nor there, but when it comes to kill, just bc you got an auto doesn’t mean you will be a Manuel, so many people miss the fact you still gotta be a good driver to actually win, timing a light, timing on the 3 count, you also gotta know how to launch, regardless if you got an auto or not, also with an auto it is actually harder to control when the car gets to losing traction, hence why so many auto drivers wreck

Seems like more thanwork than its worth to drive the manual, and also someone could just do diligence and make the programming faster than any human is allowed to react but dont cause it unnecessary just like all that extra shit you should only have to maintain not constantly fret about(fluids and shit)but only manual drivers have to worry about. I personally drive a automatic transmission ford focus, its my first car, but boy do i love myself a Manual ( Even though ive never really driven one for more than a few minutes with no prior experience, besides gran Turismo 7 😂).

Manual sounds like a nightmare is all i am going to say.

I disagree, depends your style of racing tho. Automatic is better for drag racing but obviously manuals do have their less power loss benefit. Which if you can be quick enough a manual could win or at the very least be tied with an auto. Automatics in drag racing can also have trans brakes.

I daily a manual and had a M4 with DCT. DCT is far superior to manual just as fun and way more thrilling. you also hafta worry abt ur temps in any “built” car manual or auto..
