Most wars these days are asymmetrical. One powerful nation vs an insurgence force with little to no firepower. Even Iraq somewhat qualified as that. Afghanistan was like that. But this war is something we've not seen since WW2. This is a modern war that has far exceeded anybodies expectations. The fighting has changed and modernised in ways nobody imagined. I understand people want to help by going and helping others but if your not a trained vet and have no experience of war you'll either be killed outright or get injured and get someone else killed trying to rescue you my advice is stay well behind the battle lines and help even then you could be hit by a missile just stay at home fund raise gather equipment and send it to the professionals and workers that know how to get the supplies to where they need to go
