Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb is the song I learned how to play guitar on, so in a very real way this song changed the course of my life. To cover it now in my own style, so many years later, is a dream come true, and I really tried to do it justice!

My cover explores the original's dual nature, with verses that are 'numb' and minor-toned, contrasting with the 'comfortable' and major-toned choruses. I've blurred that juxtaposition a bit by opting for a darker, dreamier approach in the chorus and steering clear of the original's uplifting arpeggio. The vocals, mostly a single track, are backed by whispers and widened for an atmospheric touch.
