I have Autism, and I'm honestly afraid of having kids because of the possibility of reproducing something worse.
Childfreedom is the only thing that can prevent this, because you can't control genetics.
Tell them to stop behaving that way.
ОтветитьAs a sufferer of severe autism, I find this video to be very realistic.
Hold on, I think I'm falling on the floor and having an anxiety attack because I'm slightly offended.. SFGJDSDFKweridfgjgdklr!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!! Autistic people are totally children!!!!!!!!!
20 years ago when I was training to become a Nurse. The instructor was telling us how that in the future. America will have to come up with a whole new health care system to take care of autistic adults.
ОтветитьWho else might have got this on their recommended bc of chris chan
ОтветитьSo you had a special kid and decided to have another one???? No sympathy for you
Ответитьautism BAD
ОтветитьPeople who fight against a treatment/cure existing are really horrible people
ОтветитьIt can be rough sometimes. My son is 16 with nonverbal autism. ❤
ОтветитьTrump was right Obamacare is a socialist. Race mixing is communism!
ОтветитьNeed to introduce them to some thc edibles masked as gummy bears
Ответить20-year-old on the spectrum here. I'm smack dab in the middle of three siblings with autism, and my older sister is nonverbal. To say things are difficult would be an understatement.
She doesn't throw a lot of tantrums, but she has a habit of bursting into people's rooms late at night and dragging them to help with stuff. And by people, I mean mostly my mom. 🤦♀️
Whether it's putting in the WiFi password on her tablet or finding one of her favorite Little People or making her a grilled cheese at 3am, she has no real perception of what's going on around her and just lives in her own little bubble in her mind.
My mom has stage 4 breast cancer and had to go to the hospital a few days ago. Yesterday, my sister got upset about her tablet dying and completely trashed my mom's room. Me and my younger sibling (they're nonbinary) spent the rest of the day cleaning it up to the best of our abilities. We had someone from her day program come over to take her off our hands for a few hours.
But last night, I had to sleep with the lights on in case she went ballistic again. Thankfully she didn't, which is good. My mom came home today, also good. But now I've got a another thing to worry about. The night before she had to go to the hospital, I heard her yelling at my sister because she wouldn't leave her alone. I don't like when people get loud, angry, and/or violent in real life. It makes me think that someone's blood is gonna spill, but it won't be my mom's. That's probably just the childhood trauma talking but... 🤷
Anyway, mom's mad about the damage done to her room and now I'm worried that if sister does her usual "wake mom up at 3am to help with something that could've waited until after she got a full night's sleep, but I have zero perception of time" routine tonight, something's gonna snap. Probably not since my mom's strength is low, but I don't underestimate what rage can do to a person.
Long story short, my family definitely needs help with my sister of the 24-hour variety. But we have trouble keeping a regular morning/afternoon care person. I'll be moving into my own place soon, so at the very least I can get some air and give my younger sibling a place to crash when they need a break from the chaos. But the fear of all our collective burnouts resulting in something drastic will still be present.
Raise the pay or at least make medical cannabis legal in all states for kids and adults with these severe issues no one gives a damn about helping apparently. Seriously, America. Quit dragging your ass on this.
ОтветитьI'm almost 40 and I'm terrified of having kids in case they turn out like that or with something else
ОтветитьNotice how whenever there's a video about raising severely autistic children, it's always the mother showing the camera man around and being shown taking care of the children. Yeah, I'm never getting married or having children. Just adopt if you want kids.
ОтветитьSad
ОтветитьSo sad. It's not their fault they have developmental disabilities. And nobody can help them be able to live a good life. I may be autistic myself but I can't even imagine what these types of people have to go through
ОтветитьShould these people not be locked up in a facility? This sounds cruel, but if the parents can not control their adult children with these issues, what do they expect of other people, a public facility?? These people used to be locked away for everyone’s good, including their own.
ОтветитьBack in the day, there was a solution to this problem
ОтветитьI couldmt have an autistic child, i would have to give it away. Not a life i coule handle
ОтветитьOk clearing things up here. I myself am a person with autism and not all people with autism are like this it’s a common misconception that people who have autism are all nonverbal and have anger issues but this isn’t true for everyone
ОтветитьBring back insane asylums.
ОтветитьOld people having kids is whats causing it
ОтветитьA lot of people would love to help this family, there is not a staffing shortage in this country at all, but we have an excess of overpaid executives.
ОтветитьContact your state's Department of Behavior Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities..They can guide you to people and places that can help you in your situation!..from a family who was in the same situatio
ОтветитьThey have to call the police on their autistic sons, putting their sons in danger every time they make that call. The police are just as likely to kill them as help them
ОтветитьThis is how fortnite streamers start.
ОтветитьTwo???
ОтветитьGreatest Corporation er Country poisoning its slaves I mean citizens through the foods and vaccines so that future generations will be more easily controlled and dominated through the medium of AI.
ОтветитьMedicate them more and put them in a home! I’ve been in this field for years and it’s tough on the parents but being old and trying to be the sole providers for autistic adults is impossible for older folks they need to out them in a home.
ОтветитьMy son has meltdowns when he has a headache, is hungry, too tired, etc. It is a constant threat, and I have received black eyes, broken ribs, a concussion. Fortunately, this is not a daily thing. Staying on top of it is exhausting and I have had only one person who really helped me and he moved out of the country.
ОтветитьGod bless you, Ronald Reagan 🙏🤷♂️
Ответитьthey should have more children. maybe that will solve their problems.
ОтветитьI have Asperger’s which is a high functioning form of autism and have the mind of a 11 year old socially and the mind of a 15 year old academically. I get really angry and frustrated when I feel ignored in public and lash out at my neighbors and in the public. I hope to stop 🛑 this before I get in serious trouble
Ответить😂 to much internet no real father figure. Spare the rod. That child rage comes from being utterly spoiled and no ass whoopen to make him think. Drs dont know how to deal with sin. They add to the effects. Im thankful for a father that displine my youth made me wiser as i got older on just how spoiled people get when not father aproved.
ОтветитьAdult sons can go to housing for disabled where they teach life skills funded by social services and government
ОтветитьYep! I have a son like this as well. We’ve read all sorts of books, therapies and psychs. We are completely at a loss for what to do. It stinks.
ОтветитьIt is so sad that we have so many autistic people now ,i mean what happened in our culture to cause it? I know why diabetes had exploded but why autism? And how hard it is for the parents is just tragic
ОтветитьI’d rather eat a needle than take care of them
ОтветитьWe should stop glorifying autism. It is a disease and horrible on the people experiencing it.
ОтветитьMake asylums great again
ОтветитьMy friend unfortunately gets a LOT of flack because she has her second eldest child in a nice care home because of his violent fits. Mind of a disturbed child but body and strength of an adult on PCP. When both she an her husband could no longer restrain him they had little options.
He had this issue with throwing things and using objects to then dig through walls. The final straw was when having a major fit he broke his dad's nose after he grabbed the family dog Wicket and threw him at the wall.
But nope, she's got to listen to online "back seat parents", shaming her all the damn time. It's a fantastic place but it doesn't matter.
So damned if she did damned if she didn't.
"How could you abandon family!?"
or wait an have it be
"OMG why didn't you do anything sooner!? He was clearly dangerous!"
What to do?
Edit: Yes, they tried medications, some worked well but getting him to take them regularly at home was another story.
These poor parents. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
Ответить1.) You cant pay me enough to deal with violent crazy people. 2.) Most people cant afford to pay someone even $10 an hour. This is a problem with no solution.
ОтветитьAmerica we gotta do better with our citizens within our country with disabilities.
We gotta do better and it’s time for all of us to wake the hell up.
It’s wrong to me how Hollywood movie star
Or an athlete can make more money then a person who saves lives, or one who helps people with disabilities or has served our country.
It’s time for us to get real and wake the hell up!
I feel so bad for this family. There absolutely needs to be more services.
ОтветитьIts really sad to see people still don't get it. Autism is not over glorified or new. Yes, some people absolutely struggle with it. No, it cannot be cured or done away with culturally.
Ответитьin south dakota check out black hills workshop, they help individual with autism in housing and job training they have a contract with the air force base as a worksite and even work with individuals to get thier own residence with staff onsite 24/7..
Ответить$10 - $12 an hour is the wages that White Supremacists have decided upon so that immigrants literally are forced to become impoverished wage slaves. Wake up, we aren’t punishing immigrants anymore, we’re all in this together.
ОтветитьAnd some people have the gall to say that autism is a "blessing". I am grateful to God that I have only extremely high-functioning Aspergers.
I don't want to imagine being like those children nor being in those parents' shoes.
Sometimes, you have to let people go for your own sanity and peace of mind.
