Mario Lemieux scored 100 points 10 different times

I grew up in Boston so I'm a Boston Bruins fan but I'm also a fan of hockey.
I have been watching a few videos about Mario Lemieux and in one of the videos it mentioned that Mario scored his first goal in his first NHL game, on his first shift and his first shot on net.
Out of curiosity I went and looked for the footage and saw that it was against the Boston Bruins and he stole the puck from Ray Bourque who was trying to keep the puck in the zone and Mario got a breakaway.

I got to meet Mario on the street in DC going to a game. One of my co-workers recognized him walking in front of us. He asked for his autograph which he gave him. My boss at the time also got his autograph. I just asked if I could shake his hand which he did. He walked across the street with the three of us talking about how much he enjoyed coming to Washington and hoped we enjoyed the game. He could not have been nicer. As a Caps fan, I hate the Penguins but have nothing but respect for Mario.

Lemieux was so much better than Gretzky one-on-one and scoring goals it's not even close. If he wasn't injured or sick most of his career he would have had crazy stats.

I've always felt like Mario was the ultimate hockey player. He had the size to be as physical as Gordie, the goal-seeking determination of Maurice, and the savvy play-making of Gretzky. There really wasn't anything that he couldn't do on the ice, and if he had stayed healthy, he would've done it all.

I was a Gretzky fan. Total junkie, but looking back in all honesty Mario is the best hockey player in history.

I hated him so bad…til 2000. Became a huge fan when he returned. Saw that first game vs Toronto December 27 . It was amazing. He was the best without even trying.

Crazy to think that if he didn't miss so many games to health issues and injuries he might have possibly ended up as the all time leader in goals and points.

This dude missed a quarter of a season and still ended up with the Art Ross by double digits! Had he been healthy his entire career, he would have surpassed Wayne.

I live in Cincinnati but when visiting my grandparents in Pittsburgh we would usually catch the end of a penguins game when we got there and most of the time Lemieux did something amazing to win the game. Such fond memories!
