Oh wow i think that's the easiest and most helpful explanation of swing i've ever seen thank you.
ОтветитьOK, so I'm quite new to this stuff... but have watched a lot of videos on this already. None are giving as much as this video! I couldn't understand why any of my rough creations sounded nothing like the music I love to listen to and now it makes sense. What sucks me into tracks can be all sorts of elements, but the drums are often what gets me hooked. Such a fantastic video and I will be trawling through the others on this channel. Thanks so much! 😊
ОтветитьThis is an essential! So well crafted, explained and presented. Thank you!! ❤ I assume side chaining kicks and bass has both impact on placement and accent?
ОтветитьThank you for making these videos and releasing them for free. You could without a doubt be selling these videos as courses, but you're not and that deserves a coffee man.
Ответитьcan you explain where you get your bass sounds from?
ОтветитьYou’re a legend dude
ОтветитьI had been wondering why some of my clap samples had that extra transient. Thank you for the explanation.
ОтветитьSuperb video and teacher
ОтветитьYou've earned yourself a new subscriber. Drums have always been a weak point in my productions so I appreciate this. Cheers mate!
ОтветитьSo glad I found this channel, channels like this are so valuable for individuals with more experience
ОтветитьMind blown. This is the distillation ive been waiting years to see.
ОтветитьThis has to be one of if not the best production tutorials for any genre I’ve ever watched. This is a teacher, not a repeater. Seriously great job, thank you.
Ответить🐐
ОтветитьGreat channel, you've got a great way of teaching <3
ОтветитьFirst video I'm watching from you. Only 9 mins in. And im ****ing stoked. Love valuable real information like this. You are going over so many important elements that are easily skipped in other videos. And no matter how good you are I love how you break down even the simplicity for the beginners/ and a refresher for the experienced.
ОтветитьReally good stuff! One thing to add to the placement part would be the impact it has on transients. Kick, snare, claps and even sharp hats or thumpy basslines can really mask or amplify each other when their transients match perfectly. Slightly shifting one or the other can really do wonders for audibility and volume balance.
ОтветитьAmazing video, full of golden information. Thank you very much❤️
Ответитьamazing! so helpful
ОтветитьTrue masterclass!
Thank you.
I just found your channel and your videos are SOOOO good you have no idea 😮💨 THANK YOU
ОтветитьIncredible. Thanks a ton
Ответитьso many gems in here
ОтветитьVerr Helpfull & usefull info! Thank you!
Ответитьgreat session this morning! what are your thoughts on tuning drum samples? If I pull a kick, snare, clap (tech house stuff) and other percussion all in different keys from lets say the Mark Knight pack...should I fix them to match the key of the kick? Or just forget about the keys for drums. I've heard the famous Deadmau5 rant about tuning kicks and it seems people are divided on this.
ОтветитьBrilliant info, loving them.
ОтветитьThank you! Never thought about to listen to the different tones and what difference they make😁
ОтветитьWhat other roles exist? You mentioned "Is it core to the groove?" or "This has a driving role" or "Aesthetic" -- are there other core roles that have names (even unofficial ones). Appreciate your videos!
ОтветитьCan I just say you are now my favourite tutorial channel. You explain everything perfectly and you are really helping my music. keep it up!
ОтветитьGreat tips!
