I prefer the older steering wheel.
ОтветитьThe tea tray spoiler makes this car.
ОтветитьHis 86 Lotus isn't a 80's supercar?
ОтветитьI own an 1985. Harry’s description of this car is so dead on, down to every little nuances that only most people would notice after years of ownership And can only be done when comparing it to other cars.
Before I had any car to my collection I see if Harry reviewed it first.
“…this nuisance, this mad car, this terrier…”
ОтветитьAlways a favorite of mine. One of the best looking cars out there. They just really didn’t know what a good steering wheel should look like.
Ответитьgee harry your video are so addictive keep em coming
ОтветитьIntro - Harry competes with a very noisy bird

Ответить9¹1 air cooerd druve buy 930 turbó
ОтветитьTo be fair and honest, if I had the choice between an '89 Ferrari Testarossa, an '89 Lamborghini Countach Anniversary, or an '89 Porsche 930 911 Turbo S.....I'd choose the Porsche, without question.
I'd also love an Anniversary Countach (yes I love the gaudy Italian refresh of the Anniversary, and if I could have one, it'd be white on white lol, I grew up in the early 80s, leave me be 😅), but the Porsche is on another level, and is tasteful, and I'd kill for a Cassis Red over burgundy
You can see the glee on Harry’s face as he motors down the road.😆
ОтветитьAnd that's where (the) Honda (NSX) excelled in, everything was on the right place for the drivers.
ОтветитьGreat video to watch now in 2022 even though the sound was terrible!😮
Friend if mine bought one in 84, black; what a Beauty!
Namaste!!!!
Youve done it again harry. Once again i felt like i drove this car listening to all the details and hearing that turbo porsche engine.
ОтветитьHarry, you knw as well as I do...the 930 was PIECE OF CRAP!
ОтветитьHarry please get a microphone
Ответитьcertaynly better those horrid lamb countach
ОтветитьI like the older Porsches more than the newer ones.
Ответитьthanks for the open window...
ОтветитьGreat car. Beautiful town and countryside.
This video give a real sense of the visceral quality of the car!
Thank you.
My 87 came with a white Porsche coveralls,a white zip-up with the logo,a suit to change a tire if you were in a suit...loved it...
ОтветитьIt was very hard to hear you. You need a microphone closer to your mouth because of the engine noise. Also I was hoping you would talk more about the performance of the car like the steering, acceleration, braking, handling, balance and general dynamics etc
ОтветитьI think that car has a boost leak...
Ответить30 years ago I had a 924 and the door just clicked so smoothley I could hear the difference in engineering from my fiat.
ОтветитьEveryone is right up his
ОтветитьNice ride
ОтветитьHarry started to make no sense once he said Bentley esk carpet then every other thing was weird or strange clearly he didnt know what he was talking about. The turbo porsche has always been the luxury preformance mix it was never a GT car.
ОтветитьThis is my dream Porsche. I worked in a.Porsche dealer in 1987-88 and got to drive a lot of 911’s. Just like Harry said, you had to learn to drive the 911 correctly. It was a different beast back then.
ОтветитьMy dad is a Harry. We live in Oxfordshire. He had a 3.3 turbo 4 speed.
Silver with Porsche Ruff alloys. Great times, sadly he died of cancer 5 years ago. I still struggle with loosing him. He liked it so much he bought me a 911 3.0SC!! I traded in for a 3.2 Carrera. Then he bought a 928 GTS, I had a 928 series 2.
The 911 especially the Turbo is a car that in many ways is not the work of Germans but that of a genius but perfected by the German fastidiousness.
Superbly balanced yet totally unbalanced, insane yet makes totally sense.
And so beautiful, so un German, yet German.
One of the greatest icons of motoring history. Ageless...yet so archaicly modern.
2 cars I would kill to own,the 930 Turbo,and a BMW 3.0 CS.
Ответить“I seem to be competing with a bird that’s particularly loud today”
Classic Brit
Ill take this 911 turbo over the Lambos and Ferraris
ОтветитьIf money suddenly started flying out of my ass, this vintage of 911 would be my choice, but perhaps not in turbo.
ОтветитьNfs porsche unleashed ,this car was a pure hell in terms of handling.
ОтветитьTime has finally passed it by, but the 930 was an impressive automobile. I admit I'd like to have one in my garage.
ОтветитьThis video should've been deep-sixed and redone with different audio. Once on the road, the lousy recording equipment makes hearing the dialogue worth about a nickel or less.
Ответитьsome real James May energy xD
thank you for the upload!
Does the turbo need any warmup or cool down consideration?
ОтветитьWatching this in 2022 it is easy to see how much more professional the videos got! Part of that of course was the extermination of every bird in the wide vicinity of the farm
ОтветитьThe 911 Turbo went to a 3.3 in 1978. So the lack of "development" Harry comments on isn't really an issue on the '78-'79 models. And you can swap in a 5-speed if you prefer....which I do....
ОтветитьMy Corvair Corsa Spyder had a turbo flat six in 1965 from the factory and had been a dealer option since 62?
ОтветитьWhat a channel. I love your road tests.
ОтветитьSorry Hary WHAT ?.. What are you saying ?...I CAN>T HAER YOU
ОтветитьHaha, you can barely hear him, it's so loud in the cabin.
ОтветитьI fell in love with the 930 in 1976 when I was just 16; it took me a while to justify a 911 as a second car but I managed to get a 3.2 targa super sport in 2002 and I really regret selling it
