Ответитьbroke my heart to hear of mac's passing 'i was really wishing the faces would play together just once more with rod it was bad enough losing ronnie lane..... faces greatest good time rock band ever.
ОтветитьI bought this album the first Saturday it was released. I can tell you I nearly wore it out!! Mac was unique. If he didn't like it, he never played it. That intro of Macs makes the hairs on my arms stand up. Pissed, sober or stoned with Mac what you saw was what you got. I saw the Faces 20 odd times from 69/70 through to the mid 70s when they split. Each gig was a musical education. Mac playing the shit out of any piano they gave him. Ronnie Lane chugging along with a sideways shuffle. Kenney holding it all together at the back. And Mr Wood himself seamlessly dropping in and out of lead and rhythm with ease. And I can tell you for a fact that without the Faces kicking him up the arse from behind his nibbs would not be where he is today. They made him what he is. Or should I say was.
RIP Mac and Ronnie. Bless both of you big 💕
