As a DND player my only complaint is that I would have to touch my own mini or fig and that's it's my character. I got my own and got copies and the DM has their own of mine.

In all honesty I think dnd could have countered the small town people not letting them play by pivoting it around and be like “we’re just going on adventures slaying demons” boom their Christian sense is pleased and they should be sated
