Steam Boiler | IVAR | Demonstration

It is one thing to talk about how a fire tube boiler works, but it worries me after seeing a real life example of an unqualified person operating a boiler and not having any appreciation of the Cornish Boiler design flaws.... in that they suffer cold water under the Calloway tube not mixing by thermo syphoning, there by causing differential metal temperatures and expansion stresses..... The guy in question seemed pleased to tell me he had managed to raise steam from cold in 35 minutes on a 3 Mega Watt Cornish Boiler... far better the the qualified boiler attendant had done before he left.... People I don't think should be told anything about boiler operations unless they are made to understand the boiler design limits and safety concerns in operating it... These fools were running it with feed water set to automatic, and did not know the first thing about blowing down a sight glass, how the f....k they did not kill hundreds, remains a mystery to me.

Personally boilers scare me, having worked on, around them for years....

There is no way that you flood water into the same vessel that you inroduce fire to heat the water.
Did you really not realize that?..you cant have fire to heat the water under the same water

near a boiler you cant keep a pannel, it will last a few years only if you do, unless you are an expert on insulation properties.

Wait what is going thru those grey moving matter having pipes if it isnt STEAM or water? Is that just hot air being pushed? If so why does it create SMOKE at whatever a smoke box is?!

Im so confused - isnt it missing the most important part - the part where there is showing water and steam together in a vessel and the steam touching and rising above the water?!

How are those pipes that initially fill with steam getting their steam if those pipes done connect to the water?
