I justdid a Walmart shopping spree. I have never quilted before and the selections were great prices were great.
ОтветитьHey, You didn't show how you added the back to it so that you didn't need binding! Did you add the back and flip it inside out like a pillow case and THEN add your quilting?
ОтветитьFor us in the uk it's the range for packs of 5 fat quarters for £5 and it's actually quite good quality
ОтветитьYou are binding this quilt? I like it but I would have to bind it. Nice easy quilt.
ОтветитьA joy to watch and listen
ОтветитьWhat is your quilt wall? How does it stick?
ОтветитьGood will sheets make soft lovely quilts
ОтветитьThank you 😊🤗
Ответитьawesome newbie here, where would i find your large cutting mat your working on.
ОтветитьLovely and what size cutting mat are you using?❤
ОтветитьI love this so much, I can’t wait to make one.
ОтветитьI like you! I'm going to watch more of your videos lol
ОтветитьI just came across your video and love the way you explain things. Lol. I’m new at this and I’m hoping it’s as simple as you made it look. I do have a question. What is your quilt wall made of? I so love that idea.
ОтветитьI love your sense of humor!!! It's so refreshing. My pretty much ONLY store for everything is Walmart. Even fabric!! All things crafting too. So thank you, bcuz NO we all can't afford those outrageous prices per Yard @ most Fabric Stores! GTG, I'm going to watch more of your Videos!! 😍
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤💕🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
ОтветитьI am working on a disappearing 9 patch it is different but crazy quick to make . I have taught myself how to make quilts. I have made a baby quilt and then 3 memory quilts and one I have to finish. The 9 patch is for my best friend that has front lobe Alzheimer's and a tumor not sure how long she will be on Earth so I am making it so she has something to cover up with and know it's from me and how much I love her and will miss her.
ОтветитьWhen i first started quilting I just couldn't see myself spending so much when I'm not a sewer So I went to some of my furniture store and drapers and asked for their old fabric swatch books and they gave them to me free:) I still have a few of their wallhangings and a quilt until I was confident enough to spend my money. Now thirty yrs later I can confidently go to a fabric store and pick out my fabrics.
ОтветитьJust saw this video a year late. I stopped buying fabric about 20 years ago. I dont really quilt but have used some methods on tote bags or sleeves of a jean jacket etc. Took a free motion class to get past the puffy paint days that didnt stay on anything! Your video inspires me to maybe try a quilt.I want to do one in very light neutrals for a king bedspread. Whats out there to buy in cotton is terrible by reviews. I dont like traditional tiny piece quilts. I like large blocks with maybe a stitch design. I sew by the seat of my pants but after almost 60 years of sewing my techniques are very professional just my ideas are wild. I also like this idea as "material" for clothing. As you say by the yard prices are out of my range! I do see some fat quarter packs on sale at our local store. I will look at your other videos for techniques too.
ОтветитьI wish I could go to my closest Walmart, but their customer service is so rotten, I'll never go back there.
ОтветитьI enjoyed it all , But , how do you finish the edges without binding ?? Did I miss that part
ОтветитьI wish my WM had a decent selection. In my travels across the country I’ve seen some fantastic fabric sections in some WMs!
ОтветитьDo you wash your fat quarters before cutting them?
ОтветитьI love your how to make the quilt fast and easy. I wish everyone would talk us through how to, if they can’t print it on screen. Thank You 🥰
ОтветитьI've actually found some pretty good quality fabric at Walmart. Lots of really cute prints and some licensed fabrics as well. As a newbie quilter who's STILL trying to learn how to machine quilt and I don't want to spend $13+ per yard for a quilt that I'm going to donate, only to ruin it with my beginner quilting.
ОтветитьI like Walmart fabric. I was not happy when our Walmart got rid of the fabric department. However, a couple of years later, they brought it back. 😊
ОтветитьI watch your videos often but how have I never seen this one!?! It is a perfect one to teach new quilters the basics and have something cute that they can be proud of when done. I love the suggestion
to purchase fabric at Walmart especially for beginners or anyone with budget constraints. AND I love the many quilts that you flipped through out of various fabrics. Again, especially great for newer quilters.
You're amazing 😊 Thank you!
Ответить👏👏👏💖🎶💐💖👏👏👏
ОтветитьI made a quilt out of men's shirts from the thrift store and the back is also a sheet for my son! And I have the so to speak more shirts for My grand son! Takes more time to make! My background fabrics are from Joann's! Sue Smoak Rochester Mich.
ОтветитьDearest April, thank you - thank you - thank you! You are a gas. We run our 'fabric & yarn store' just like your personality! We always say if you can discuses a menopausal bowl movement here, you are in the right place. 'cause there is crap flyin' all the time. Just love you!
ОтветитьI love this! Thanks so much for showing us how we can make a quilt with cheaper fabric. I’m a quilt novice, and the thought of messing up £s worth of fabric has put me off plenty of times. Such an easy pattern to follow too! You’re a star! ⭐️
ОтветитьI love watching you tutorials, full of humor and joy! And it gives me permission to eat chocolate. Keep doing what you do, I’m watching! 😊
ОтветитьThant you for this super easy quilt tutorial! I am a beginner quilter and I'm not about to spend a ton of money on fabric for a project I am just learning.
The price of the fabric should not matter, if the product is made with love!
I'm new here . Love your videos! How do you get your cloth to stick to wall?
ОтветитьReally enjoyed your show..especially your humor/personality!
ОтветитьHey I like buying material from Wal-Mart and the dollar tree has fabric too, I buy that too.!!!!!
ОтветитьYou are an absolute gem. So nice to see you using inexpensive material. Not all of us can afford expensive material but still want to quilt. And our quilts will be loved and used. Cant wait to go to walmart you get such cute fabric. Hope my Walmart has fabric like yours.❤
ОтветитьI love your chat. So real, well done
ОтветитьLove your sass. And the ease!
ОтветитьLoved your quick quilt. ❤️🥰🇦🇺
Ответитьawesome video! it never occurred to me to cut AFTER sewing...mind blown! love the simplicity. love the detail. love the Walmart reality check. love the "minus the binding" mumbling. (subscribed!)
ОтветитьDid anyone notice that at 9 minutes, 10 seconds, and on to the end of this video, no more voice is heard? 😟
ОтветитьFat quarters in Canada, even at Walmart, are $7.99! THAT is the cheapest! So ridiculous. I know our dollar is less, but come ON, Canada….stop being so greedy!
ОтветитьI saw this video yesterday, and today I've made 2 quilt tops, they are a little wonky in places but I love them thanks very much I love this
From Andrea
Thank you for making a very understandable video for a beginner. Also, what is that wall you have that fabric just clings too?!! That is amazing.
ОтветитьThank you for showing me a “quick” quilt I can make so that I can practice my skills using my home machine! And even better - I can use relatively inexpensive, cute prints from Walmart so I don’t feel a guilty if I make mistakes!❤️❤️
ОтветитьWalmart sells Waverly and its just as good quality as Moda...;-)
ОтветитьI did 5 in 3 hours lol thats just quilt tops though
ОтветитьDo you have a video about straight line stitching? I have tried watching a few to see if you go over it in other videos…
Ответить
