It's NOT a Tesla, y'all. For one thing, Teslas don't have a radiator grille. Second, the logo is sort of screwy... it's not quite the same, plus Tesla's trademark doesn't have one of Citroën's chevrons under it.

So, sorry to bust everyone's bubble here, but what you're seeing in the clip is actually one of China's "knockoffs", in this case a not-exactly-a-Tesla. The logo is similar so that a simple alteration makes the car seem like it's what people think it is...which is REALLY common in China, where everything's about appearances and "face". But it's still an interesting clip, because it shows just how unbelievably dangerous many Chinese counterfiets can be. There's quite a few clips of their fake junk EVs doing the same thing because...ok, you might have the LOOK of a Tesla, but you get the safety of some POS knockoff hoverboard. Which is cheaper than a Tesla yet looks similar enough to fool most people UNTIL the inevitable lithium fire happens. And with the current state of Chinese EV tech, you can see these on a daily basis if you're living there.

So dial back the Elon-hate on this one (not that he doesn't deserve it), and start eyeing your own Chinese lithium-powered stuff in a whole new light... because it's not just their knockoff cars that spontaneously explode!
