Sir with due respect you moved into Management role because you hated coding and/or were not good at it, this is not new in the IT industry, most folks I come across quit coding once they become managers or worse they want to become managers so that they can quit coding, stop spreading mediocrity.

Problem with IT is continuous learning & keeping yourself upto date with recent development through out your career. Upto age 45 its somewhat doable. But once you age, you will get lots family responsibilities, kids, health issues..etc. This will lead to slow in your learning agility and adaptability. Sitting jobs are slow dying jobs. Unfortunately IT is one such where you spend most of the time infront of monitor screens. Your eyes, back, entire body will wear out over the years. Though option to continue, you will not have any fire to continue beyond 45.

This is not true. Lot of people I see are older but are hired. Especially after covid. If you have relevant experience and do well , even startups hire you . May be it is the case in some countries

First people need to understand how IT works even before entering engineering or degree ,they will get enough time to understand about their capabilities as they can go hard in engineering if they zero down on IT.
People enter into IT because of salary but the truth is one has to work like a donkey and keep learning.

See this is a wrong conception..as long as you are relevant, you will be there..

In Service based company most of the project are maintenance project , working on very old technology . only if you are good in buttering u get promoted no scope for performance.

Trend is slowly changing in India to have higher aged developers similar to India, but yes the culture and mindset change is not easy here, as Managers would need to accommodate them keeping aside their egos and aged team members should keep to their role and not dominate or talk arrogant to Team, Leaders and Managers.

I am a fresher got into prjct Aftr 12mnths of my joining nd it's been 6mnnths+ in my project
