A way to fire back at enemy or firestep
Logs or beams over it can make it a bit harder for enemies to enter
Decent flooring
If even more permanent then a dugout may be worthwhile to protect from near misses during bombardment

If for whatever reason you are holding seige to a position for longer then quality of life improvements are needed like layering wood over the walls or making the main body of the trench deeper

Digging foxholes was one of my least favorite parts about the military. Digging suuuuux alot. Especially with that tiny collapsible e tool shovel. Even with a regular shovel it's a ton of work. Props man.

I was going to watch this - but the first minute of disclaimers and absurdly naïve personal philosophy set me reaching for the keyboard - so I stopped watching it before it annoyed me. BUT - if you don't think there is any such thing as a just war, then you don't deserve to live in comfort and freedom.....for which just wars have been fought by more righteous and dutiful people than you profess to be.

I am very sorry, but... the jacket you are wearing IS literally a modern (Bundewehr) german field jacket. Everything fits. The camo pattern, the pockets, the cut, and the name spot. Only the patch spot is missing, but that's common on some models. Only difference is, the canadian flag is exactly where the german flag would be. Just wanted to note that. Very Cool! At first I even wanted to say the pants are the same, but pockets are missing, so I'm not quite sure about that.

Then you should have slept and ate in it for a few years like soldiers did. That way you could prove something. This is just time wasting BABBLE and boosts your pathetic ego.
