ОтветитьSo much good info packed in a quick video, epic!
ОтветитьMy most favourite tutorial
ОтветитьVery nice explanation and demonstration. Thank you.
ОтветитьIs it okay to use the umbrella without an umbrella diffuser? Love the results and simplicity of this set up. Thank you.
ОтветитьStrange is that I have bigger umbrella, close to subject as you adviced, but my shadows (especially) under the eyes aren't so soft as you have. And two more things. If you "kill" the ambient light with camera settings, you see nothing in your viewfinder (even you have disabled the exposure simulation). Second one. I have the similar height of the light but the shadow on the neck is bigger.
ОтветитьWhere’s gavin hoey?
ОтветитьWow. Thank you very much!
Ответить👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
ОтветитьThank you, Pye (and Kiara)!!! Great tutorial. 👍👍
ОтветитьWhere would you place the fill in light if you have one?
Ответитьexcellent video and explanation
ОтветитьSo so soooo very helpful and EASY to understand!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThank you sooo much
ОтветитьVERY NICE HELPFULL THANKS
ОтветитьWould you also use a softbox (either rectangular or circular) for the same kind of effect, instead if an umbrella? Love the tips and also the addition of the reflector!
ОтветитьPlease translate your video to Arabic
ОтветитьAnd if we don’t have umbrella? Will regular softboxes work?
ОтветитьGreat, I've got the umbrella I just need a 5 thousand dollar camera 😭
Ответитьgod bless you mr jirsa
ОтветитьLate to the game but I have one comment. With her really dark hair, to get an acceptable headshot you would either need a second light on her hair from above and behind or a reflector bouncing light from the main flash onto her hair from above and to the side or wherever you want it. To me this is not a professional headshot because her hair becomes a huge black blob. Also your preset turned her face far too red.
ОтветитьLove this, thanks Pye. Keep it simple. I especially appreciated the comment about stopping down - it's okay! After all we paid extra for that fast f/1.4 lens. I, too, get caught up in feeling the need to open up. Lo and behold, when I stop down that lens to f/5.6 it's sharp as a tack!
Question - What about adding a small bit of hair light for a kick?
I'd like some videos in which you start with one light, then add another, and another, and so on, to show the possibilities with added lights.
Many thanks for all the videos. Joe.
🎉🎉 amazing and quick a great teacher
Ответитьsuperb
ОтветитьOr you can use 2, 3, or 4 lights and get a better photo.
Ответитьwow! I i used to under estimate the white umbrella
Ответитьshe is very beautiful
ОтветитьYou are so awesome that you don't need to use so many B-roll-type under-your-breath aside remarks. Just go with your stellar content. Thank you for all your work.
ОтветитьHi great tips ... love the easy set up .. is that ok to take chubby face and neck with 28 to 35 mm lense .. I notice if I go above 50 clinet always complain they look fat 😅
ОтветитьWhat was the light setting ?
ОтветитьReally good tips for pro lighting on a budget! The photo retouching was unnecessary, since the model is superb and same to the photog.
ОтветитьGreat results. We also did the same, we use at the 45 degree above the person one light set up with the octa umbrella and with our 24-70 lenses get the best headshot results. We noticed that in some situations, especially when there is not enough room to set up more, 1 light and 1 large umbrella is sufficient enough to do a perfect headshot.
ОтветитьI still don't understand why you don't use the lowest Iso possible. Can you explain that please? Excellent video by the way.
ОтветитьYou make it look so simple, and the photo turns out beautiful! There are no highlights blown out on her beautiful face. Which makes me ask how do you avoid highlights being blown on the cheeks or forehead?
ОтветитьReally good video. Thanks
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьthanks!
ОтветитьNeeds a key light
ОтветитьGreat
ОтветитьGreat video - I learned (go figure). Oh, and Kiara is beautiful. For a landscape film guy, what would you budget for a portable/basic one-light set-up? $300? $500? More?
ОтветитьEnjoyed it!
ОтветитьThank you!! Super helpful.
ОтветитьThat is a €1900 flash. Affordable? 😅
ОтветитьI like your tutorial on the 1 flash set up that's a pricey flash do you suggest a big inner flash and receiver for a Sony a7iii camera , thx much
ОтветитьGreat video.
Ответить1 light ? XD
Where comes the background light then ? you fooler !!!
Its totally delutional .. Your Title is right but your content is misleading .
Oh its nature light .. if it was a shooting at night then ???
Awesome :)
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks
ОтветитьGreat tips!
