HENRI Wilson was a wonderful agent, he put beautiful actors and atrices on screen l.
ОтветитьI definitely prefer depictions of history as it was versus how someone wished it was. Give me a story about Sidney Poitier and Halle Berry, for instance. Murphy would have been better off depicting how unequal, seedy and sleazy Hollywood was back then.
ОтветитьHudson liked tall blonde men.
ОтветитьIt is a brilliant acting of all actors. For me, Jim Parson was very special and awsome.
ОтветитьVery woke film trying to whitewash historical racism and promote LGBTQ. This is why I cancelled my Netflix contract.
ОтветитьThe Hollywood that never was
ОтветитьBest one liner “ I’ve got my finger in every stink hole in this town”
ОтветитьAlways been a fan of What if histories.
ОтветитьAre there any videos showing Henry Willson? I knew Henry very well...he was a customer of mine when I was the bartender in what was the Windjammer up on the Sunset Strip...it is now the Rainbow Bar & Grill. He spent many days and nights in the Windjammer on is phone and drinking at my bar in the evenings having his usual Grand Manier in a snifter and he somehow always managed to drive home without having an accident. One night he had me follow him home, and well...spend the night - at his house...which I did.
ОтветитьI loved Jim Parsons in this. He had some tough lines to deliver. I have no idea he got through some of these scenes with a straight face without gagging.
ОтветитьWow...they have really tried to hold us back ! Jordan Peele the first , Halle all the way to 2002?! Wow
ОтветитьI was shook to see Jim Parsons as Henry.
Incredible incredible Actor. The transition from Sheldon to this. Man it would have been damn difficult. I can't articulate how much I admired his performance it's like I hated Henry Wilson so much at same time wondered how wonderful of an actor is Jim. I respect and adore him even more.
This series was just okay to me. I like how they showed just how dirty and sleazy Hollywood is. Couches and bedroom deals. Most actors went along with it whether they go a part or not. A lot slept with people and go screwed over. None of this series made me cry, because I knew a lot was factionalized. There is a long way to go for Hollywood. The industry is changing because of streaming apps. Big screens are coming to a halt.
ОтветитьOh wow it didn't occur to me that Ernie was inspired by Clarke Gable, in which Dylan definitely emanated, and made sense. There was even a scene of Ernie and Vivien Leigh, and Clarke was her co-star lover im Gone With The Wind. How come I never noticed that is beyond me 😱
ОтветитьGreat man
ОтветитьLoved this series
ОтветитьIs Netflix's Hollywood available on dvd?
ОтветитьLet me break news for you. These never happened. Respect history for what it is. Full of wars, racism and discrimination. The rest is disney fantasies. Those golden actors chose their careers over their personal happiness. That is why so many died from alcohol, drug abuse and diseases.
ОтветитьThis was everything 🎥❤️💯
ОтветитьIt's always been like this. Listen to what Anna May Wong's family had to say when she decided to go into acting. This is why many are so pissed at Meryl Streep and Oprah. (pretending ignorance that characters like Henry Wilson and Weinstein have ALWAYS existed. (Check Dustin ...Hoffman's introduction to Meryl Streep. Listen to what Rupert Everett says about coming out. They're all still hypocrites. (money rules- they play for the average movie goer, not for progressive or enlightened ones and now what China dictates to them. (John Boyega mposter minimization/treatment) (Richard Gere's ban) (I understand it's a nice reimagination/fictional idealistic what if, many wish there had been so much tolerance as in the series)
ОтветитьI loved this series. It was gorgeous 👍
ОтветитьWhatever! 😒😒😒😒
ОтветитьI was so happy to see Darren Criss' character representing mixed race asian americans :) I know asian americans aren't the most oppressed group in our country, but as one, I was extremely moved in seeing it on screen and to hear his speech about burying a part of himself. Also all the gay representation and black representation: incredible!
ОтветитьI loved the series, but I was a bit bothered by how stupid Rock Hudson was portrayed. While he may have struggled in his early days as an actor to get a line right, all you have to do is watch interviews with him to know that he wasn't dumb.
ОтветитьAll of the actors were brilliant. I wish there were more than 7 episodes.
ОтветитьSo incredibly sad and disgusting how Hattie was treated. Why nominate her if they didn't respect her. Ya know. I'm glad she won she deserved it but no one deserved to be treated that way!! Sneak in (so award show don't look racist) I mean she was nominated for her work people and you keep her outside!?
ОтветитьWELL IF YOU WANNA GO TO DISNEYLAND YOU BETTER BE THERE,
IF YOU WANT TO GO TO HOLLYWOOD YOU BETTER BE THERE.
GREAT PRODUCTION BUT I DON'T LIKE FICTION I LIKE REALITY.
IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT YOU BETTER MAKE AND CALLED: MY KIND OF HOLLYWOOD!
YOU WANT LUTHER KING PLAYED BY A WHITE GUY?! NO RIGHT, ETC ETC
good job... A must see series, i love it
ОтветитьThis made me really, really never want to watch this Netflix series or movie. Reshaping history to make us feel good seems to be the films theme.
ОтветитьThoroughly enjoyed the series, the never-was Hollywood was brilliantly done. Still, hope there is no second series as this series was done totally right. They were all excellent, especially Jim Parsons. No problems with the changes made to actual history, I wasn't watching as a historical correct documentary
ОтветитьVoice of the narrator is amazing! I wish I have one:-]
ОтветитьIt’s a bloody good watch I’m watching it for the second time. What ifs? yet you can’t help but be in the moment while watching this series.
ОтветитьI loved it. Happily emotional for me.
ОтветитьLoved it. Thought it was completely awesome. Has a new frisson now with the BLM awakening. And black lives absolutely DO matter.
ОтветитьI love that both Ryan Murphy and Quentin Tarantino use revisionism to rewrite history 🤍
ОтветитьI enjoy watching the series 👍
ОтветитьOscar [Winner] (2010)
Geoffrey Fletcher became the first African American to win a Best Screenplay Oscar for “Precious”
Looovveeddd it!!
ОтветитьI'm going out on a limb here that Ryan Murphy is Gay & has a large Gay following. I'm one of them. One of "those" people you have to hide your children from. As an openly Gay white man I know what it's like to be hated by every Race, & even some of my own family & Church members. Not just straight people. My point is that not every Race will be depicted in every TV show or movie. It's something all of us have to endure in this imperfect World.
This was a wonderful depiction of what could have been.
I love the show!!!!! I cried so much at the Oscar ceremony scene... it would have been a wonderful world if someone have had the balls at that time.
ОтветитьThis Ryan Murphy production was superb. I binge watched the entire season in one night. I could not turn off the television set until the last chapter.
ОтветитьThe first moment I saw Ernie, he reminded me of actor Cesar Romero (Joker from the Batman series). Way more than Clarke Gable, in my opinion
ОтветитьSo Henry's first line in the series is "don't sit" and I couldn't help to yell "that's your spot!"
ОтветитьSO FICTIONAL. .IT NEVER HAS ANY MEXICANS...BETTER LIKE THAT...I DREAD TO SEE THE STUPIDITY
ОтветитьDylan McDermott looks like a young Mel Brooks
Ответитьgreat show I loved it
ОтветитьThe series was fabulous AND we all know it was happy fluff. Just two days before I had watched Trumbo - pretty and sunny but the slime of Hollywood -and I enjoyed them both!
ОтветитьWho wishes this show was real, through and through? ;)
ОтветитьI loved it, besides we’ve already lived the other way and that was way ewhhhh
ОтветитьI really enjoyed the series and it was nice to experience a reality where you get what you want in the end
