Max Payne 3 has also a great First Person mod, I basicaly replayed the whole game again with this mod. The only thing that I don't like about the mod is that every time you press Wto walk forward, Max will ALWAYS start walking, THEN he will run. Doesn't look all that problematic, but that made me get killed a few times during shooting, what happned is that I needed to run to a safe place in order to not get shot, but Max would walk instead of run.

Despite this minor incovinience, the mod kicks ass

GTA 4 in first person the gun aiming animations actually line up with camera

i remember playing a mod for hatred and got to a level where it was an elementary school and i just noped tf out of that shit. some fucked up mods on that game.

There's a certain breed of cut scene heavy adventure game (usually on PS rather than Xbox it must be said) that I find completely alienating. First person is just so much more immersive.

Rainbow six Vegas 1 & 2 both have 3rd person modes that can be activated using old school cheat codes. I love when games add the option to switch between both. Ghost recon 2 & GRAW also has an option to switch between 1st and 3 person perspectives. Ghost Recon Wildlands is definitely up their for me.. The evil within 2 is another good one. I wish every game have us the option.

Got to bring this up, but why does no one make a GTA like games in first person? I mean Postal 2 is a scale down crappy version of what could possibly consider as a Gta like game, and that map nor it's sequel are all that big.

I can't play shooters in third-person. So when a first-person mod came out for GTA4, I took a bunch of shrooms and walked around lost for an hour or two. When I finally found my way back home, I ran into some dude, and he beat me to death. That was the end of my GTA4 permadeath run. I really should go back and revisit it. There are probably tons of great mods for it now.

Max Payne was clearly not designed for 1st person view as you lose the peek into corner camera hints. GTA in the other hand seems clearly better to me in 1st person.

It is worth noting that GTASA has the most extensive modding community in the GTA series, so the FPV mods available for it are really mature at this point. The most popular one is extremely stable and customizable. It just has an endless amount of mods in every category. So this game is still damn fun.

Man, I loved Manhunt for its atmosphere! The sequel wasn't as good, but still fun in its own way. A shame it's been dead since 2007.
