No thanks
ОтветитьI’m going end of October. Getting on ocean view hotel room and renting a convertible to go and explore. I dislike resorts. Only necessary if you go somewhere dangerous like Jamaica. Hawaii is expensive; money goes a lot further in a place like Spain. Is what it is. Gotta pay to play.
Ответитьwe got an Airbnb right next to the beach for 175 a night can't wait to go on our honeymoon pan on doing some shopping and cooking for most of meals when we can to save money
ОтветитьSo sad to see this now and know that no one will experience this for some time into the future because of the fires. So sad!!!
Glad they visited a year ago a and weren't there in the midst of the fires trying to escape!!!
I would have spit the cost with you guys and taken the other bed - just trying to help.
ОтветитьYou never can compete the nature with money value .. that’s why! Coz it’s in the middle of pacific coast where not so much pollution at all. Why not worthy it if you compare with other pollution area on this earth 🌍?!
ОтветитьHi! Can you tell me the brand of the cute two piece floral pant set?
ОтветитьToro fees basically make the cost of the car DOUBLE whenever I check. Its way worse that Airbnb. Typically , at least in SoCal, if Car Rental is $550/week for an SUV a Toro would be $450, older smaller car with higher mileage but after fees it would end up $850-$900, essentially it doubles the rate because of the fees.
ОтветитьBeautiful experience with you guys!❤
ОтветитьUsed to be you get a nice place in Maui for under $200 a night on the beach.
No more. Prices have doubled and even tripled in 3 years
Big resorts are insane, the charge the BS "resort fee" and parking fee.
Condos? good luck booking with VRBO and Air BNB.
They used to charge tax and a reasonable cleaning fee.
Now its almost 18% tax, ridiculous cleaning fees, and lo and behold, " manager fees", "host fees" and assorted other BS fees for doing nothing. Adds over 50% to the tab.
And eating out/ Insane high prices.
Much better deals in the Caribbean and Mexico and even the Big Island
Mauji is now for the rich
Thanks; great information!
Ответить250 per night upgrade? phewww
Ответить$1000/day for a regular looking room feels a bit of spendy for what you get 😅. Though I m not sure I want to go the tentalo way either.
ОтветитьWe just got back from our cheap Maui trip. Best decision we ever did was to go as cheap as possible. Found great deal on Southwest for flights for $350-$500 RT during their $59 sale. Rented vintage camper van for my family for 5 nights for $1100 total after taxes. That meant for airfare, lodging, and transportation it was around $2300 total for our family of 3. Not counting the food and souvenirs. We camped at Olowalu, Kīpahulu, and Wai’anapanapa. We ate primarily only at food trucks and it was amazing! I used to never think I’d be able to visit Maui. Now planning for another trip next year, because we can do that for that budget!!!
ОтветитьDid U say pounds??
Ответить<3
ОтветитьThere’s hostils and camping you can eat local food the island can be okay prices it’s how you choose to explore
ОтветитьI love tentalow
Ответитьwhich glasses are yours tim ?
ОтветитьSaw footage of the $1k vs the $100 room, the $150 rooms were terrible. Sometimes you have to pay to play. Although I’d try to find something @ $500 also.
ОтветитьThank you so much!!! for the TURO suggestion! I didn't know until I watched your video. <3
ОтветитьVery helpful video i leave for spring break soon and will definitely spend it cheaper like the 100 one you guys did.
ОтветитьHi guys. Any suggestion foe the Luau experience for my wife? Her first time to Maui but when I scheduled an "experience" online it said $400 but when I got notified by them they messaged me stating it was going to be $800.00. Any affordable Luau experiences? Thank you
ОтветитьRather than using sun block. a full body rash guard is much better for both you and the marine life. Additionally, on a hot day, by keeping it wet is like having your personal air conditioner. On Maui, I highly recommend driving to the town of Hanna on east end of the Isl. There you will find beautiful mountains, waterfalls and hidden ocean coves. And, the lava fields on the southeast of Maui are also worth a visit.
ОтветитьWhere are the 200.00 condos
ОтветитьI stayed there once. It says on the room wall 800 is the cheapest a night. I'm no tourist.i moved her ass end of 2016 because of a woman. You don't gotta be rich to be here. But you gotta be rich if you don't wanna leave the resort and fear the locals.. as you should. People that just stay in the resort don't know jack bout the island or people.
ОтветитьWhat time of day do you recommend the helicopter tour? Want to do this next week, thx
ОтветитьCame back from Maui just last week and stayed at The Westin. Ah I wished I found your channel sooner!
ОтветитьI stayed at the Westin in Kapalua and was not impressed. And I will not pay overly inflated prices. Poor value here.
ОтветитьNice video. I've been to Maui many tomes since 1980s. Definitely saw the resorts proliferate on Kaanapali and Wailea. You were on Oluwalu camp grounds. Leoda's Kitchen and Pie shoo, so famous woth lines out the door and you missed it. That resort you stayed at used to be about $300-450 pre-pandemic. Since then prices had doubled and tripled. Pretty sure that $150 airB&B is now at least $250 + admin, cleaning, and tax would out it more in the range of $325/night. Seriously, check it out. Even the hostels are at least $75/night in an 8 person dorm but one particular hostel has free tours to different parts of the island daily. Just generously tip your driver/guide. Also, one of the least expensive ways to stay in Maui is by renting from a timeshare owner who cannot use their week. I just booked a 1 bedroom 820 sq ft ocean view with kitchenette for 1200/week. That's $172/night and no extra resort or parking fee. On the beach and huge 2 acre pool. It is very family oriented, and is one of the original resorts on the northern end of Kaanapali. I stayed there last year, too and it's clean, great friendly staff, massage in a cabana on premises. Walking to Duke's Beach Club, large food truck park, and a Times Market in a strip mall across the street from resort. As far as the tent above the vans or vans to stay in and camp, it's illegal to camp on any beach in Maui. Camping okay in Oluwalu. Many car insurance companies will not cover TURO. So advisable to check with your car insurance Co. I suggest supporting local family owned business like Kihei Car Rental.
ОтветитьI so lost interest in Hawaii several years ago.
$1000 a night for a very ordinary hotel room PLUS they charge for parking PLUS $350 per couple for a touristy luau. Oh, and the ripoff "resort fee."
The true meaning of Aloha is 'give me mo money suckah!'
PLUS, Hawaiians don't even like haoles (mainlanders).
Go to Puerto Vallarta.
Love your videos. Thank you
ОтветитьJust my thoughts....I got 10 minutes into the video and had to stop watching. You guys make it seem like you've watched other people's videos who've stayed at the resort before and had the best time ever. And then when you get there it's not picture perfect like you've seen, like you're expecting literal heaven, instead of going in with an open mind and take it as it is. Man, I'd be so happy with a parking lot view instead of ocean view mostly because....I'M IN HAWAII? You're not spending all day in your room, you're probably out exploring! Seems like you guys should have taken the trip to Europe and used your points that way instead of going to boring ol', crusty, over priced hAwAii. Literally a dream place for people to visit, myself included. Don't take your travels so for granted. You're so unbelievably fortunate to get to travel.
ОтветитьThank you. I miss Maui. Hope to be there soon!,
Ответить10年前秋天。从西雅图到夏威夷自由行。美好回忆。夏威夷太美了。
八旬老人-看世界。2022 12月。
I went to Hawaii when I served aboard a Coast Guard ship in the 90s. I got to attend a fia fia in Western Samoa. That’s a Samoan luau. I don’t feel the need to go to a luau. I’m heading back to Honolulu for a week at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Then a week at a cabin for $40 a night on the Big Island. I’m certain I will love both places.
ОтветитьWow, you two sure know how to waste a fuck ton of money on vacation!
I go to Maui, HI every year and never spend anywhere close to even $500 a night in any hotel or resort. Ha ha 😂👎
The key is to enjoy vacations in Hawaii or Cancun is to stay in good hotels with beach access.
ОтветитьI love nature so the resort is out for me. Just me.
ОтветитьI pay the big bucks so I don't have to rub shoulders with blue collar people. Who wants that?
ОтветитьAmazing, but will stick to resorts. I’m too spoiled
Ответить❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьJust stayed in Maui in a tentalow for 3 nights thanks to you guys & it was AMAZING!! Also did 4 nights at a nice VRBO in Kihei but the open air tentalow is my FAVORITE memory ❤️
ОтветитьIf u were to rent a camper, where would u shower?
ОтветитьI think it is rubbish what the hotels in Hawaii are doing. you can hardly find any room for less than 250$ a night. I'd much rather go to Cabo where a luxury resort can be got for about 50$ all inclusive sometimes. and you have the same activities. and a lot more stuff to do.
ОтветитьWhere’s the tent allows?
ОтветитьThanks for the video! We go to Hawaii a couple times a year and hadn’t even considered camping. Looks like a fun way to mix it up. Also, where did you get your cute blue dress shown in the beginning of the video?
