Horses only will react to our behavior and emotions with no bias or any judgment. They are keen observers and are vigilant and sensitive to movement and emotion. Because of this, they provide authentic feedback to what’s the current energy.
Horses also mirror our behavior or emotions. This allows for us to maintain a sense of self-awareness, using the horse's behavior and interactions for feedback and opportunities to check in and process what is happening in the moment. This understanding and connection can allow us to feel safe, plus gives us the opportunity to grow.
This helps with:
· Adaptability
· Distress tolerance
· Emotional awareness
· Independence
· Impulse control
· Self-esteem
· Social awareness
· Social relationships
