This beautiful old farm house was built in the late 19th century. Built sometime between 1880-1885, for a modest family of farmers in the eastern mountains of Tennessee. The families main crops were cotton, tobacco and corn. They also had a handful of livestock including sheep and swine. The house would remain with same family most of its existence, passing hands over the generations until in the 1980’s when it was finally sold to a new family from New York seeking an escape from city life. Unfortunately the last members of the family passed away in the early 2000’s and the house was in need of some large repairs as well as maintenance and updates to bring it into the modern century. Sadly no one with the funds ever stepped up and recently the house was sold too land developers and is most likely in its final days now. There are large plans of building a subdivision of modern custom homes in its place and soon the house will only be a distant forgotten memory of times gone by. Glad I could document the house on film before the sun sets on it for a final time. Thank you for watching! Like and leave a comment below for me if you enjoyed! I really appreciate it, thank you!
